The principal content of the reading passage is that human’ purposes of travelling across the earth diverge from deliberately searching for resource to cultural, educational, and scientific goal as time goes by. Simultaneously, the lecturer replenishes the opinion reflected in the passage.
To start with, the reading passage cites the example of Hemingway to illustrate that some people take a journey mainly for adventure. At the meantime, the lecturer 's idea is similar that Hemingway took his trip for the sake of conquering. His experience attributes to the stimulation of encouraging people to travel across the ocean.

Moreover, the lecturer develops the point of view stated in the passage. He clarifies that people nowadays travel for several purpose including ethnic and environmental ones. The former tourists usually observe the social customs, regional ceremonies, residents’ daily life on their trips. They absorbing knowledge from those aboriginals such as how to sing a local song, paint a local drawing. And in return they preserve things they observed in case the precious information is effaced one day. The latter people, typically, travel for scientific purpose, they care more about the endemic environmental characteristics. They use various means among photographing to observe and conserve the native circumstances in order to make scientific advancement.

When you choose a career, what factor is the most important, money or your personal satisfaction?

it could be a tantalizing question, however, i choose personal satisfaction as my major concern, while choosng a career.

First of all, i think we make money for our personal satisfaction, therefore it is wierd to sacrifice our feeling to make money

moreover, career is one of major parts of ourlive, it would be torturous to take a job that i donot like. I use to take a part time job as a chinese food cook in a restaurant. But i quit just after a month even it's hi-payed. because i

just couldnot withstand the poor hygienic condition there.

to sum up, i will never exchange my personal satisfaction for money!

拼写有点问题不过也不要紧,用词很丰富啊,呵呵,小小意见:你支持 choose personal satisfaction as my major concern主要是从反面说的,个人觉得也要适当从正面补充下,比如说个人的兴趣会带来动力呀等等,反面不妨放在批评money上,当然,整体来看很不错的,我只是说说个人意见.
