In this issue, the president is somehow hesitating which company to choose for pest control service. According to the article, the newly chose company caused a loss that is double of the former one in another warehouse. Due to the fact, the president is considering to change back to the former company despite the new one charging for a lower price. Though it is reasonable to think of ways to reduce the loss, whether it is proper to stop the cooperation with Fly-Away Control Company still needs to be discussed.

It is actually true that $20000 is a large sum of money, but no data is provided about how much loss the former company caused in the warehouse of Palm City before. Without comparison, it is not justified to say that the Fly-Away Control Company is not as professional as the Buzzoff Pest Control Company. How about large amount of pest control has to be used in the city and bigger damage of food is inevitable? Meanwhile, if specific data is presented, the later company would then have to admit the fault they have made, which will be more powerful to ask for compensation and require them to make an improvement.

Maybe someone will argue that another data is there indicating that the Buzzoff didn’t make as much loss as the Flay-Away. But is it certain that the Buzzoff has always had a satisfying record and is the warehouse in Wintervale of the same condition as the one in Palm City? It is possible that the Buzzoff have been behaving almost the same as Flay-Away except last month. There is also possibility that the warehouse in Wintervale isn’t of the same area with the one in the city, where less damage is caused merely because that less food is stored there. It is still probable that the Palm City doesn’t need much pest control and thus causes less damage. Without being given the complete record of the BuzzOff Company and the situation of the two warehouses, the data is of little referring use to decide which company is more professional.

Also, the president mentioned that in order to save money, they prefer to choose Buzzoff. But we are only told that the Flay-Away charges for a lower service fee, and so will it be possible that return to Buzzoff would take more money? Especially when the Buzzoff get the news that they are chose again for their better service, they could charge for a price that is a little bit higher. Taking that into account, more evidence is needed to say that abandon the lower price would save them more money.

As we all know, saving money is important for a company, so we need to think twice before the final decision. The Fly-Away offers a lower price anyway, even we take the damage they have made into consideration, the Faly-Away is still an alternative choice. Though the given data is not enough to make a judge, we have the faith that if more evidence is presented, they can make a wise decision one day.
