Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

In today’s world, it is more important to work quickly and risk making mistakes than to work slowly and make sure that everything is correct.

Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Nowadays, it was no rarely to see
that we have the choice that whether we should work quickly and risk making mistakes or work slowly and make sure that everything is correct. The world is changing in drastic speed, and we have more and more work to do, requiring more and more efficient. Everyone might make mistakes and we never make sure everything is all right. And we need to collaborate to look over each other to avoid one's person big mistakes. So I certainly agree with the statement that working quickly and risk making mistakes is much more important after considering the following factors.

The decisive factor is that to work quickly and risk making mistakes apparently benefits for people to do work more efficiently and more creatively. That means if we work quickly and risk making mistakes, we will dare to make creative ideas, and at the same time we will also try as many as possible, both of which absolutely contribute to great and creative works. As we know, many great work
in the human history came from the thought of risking making
mistakes, for example, Edison who work efficiently and risk making mistakes have eventually invent the bulb after thousands of failures .So we can draw conclusion that to work quickly and risk making mistakes is considerably important.

Besides, it is one part of collaboration of group works. With the rapid development of society and increasing drastic competition, we would find that to work quickly and risk making mistakes is necessary and crucial to compete for one position. Moreover, in group works, we cooperate with each other and make correction and gain improvement each one, but it will be catastrophic to let others wait our works. Imagine when we do work with our patterns,
we
would certainly prefer to work efficiently and risking mistakes rather than much better work slowly and make sure that everything is correct.


In conclusion, despite the fact that work slowly and make sure that everything is correct may have some minor advantages ,such as need less correction, when take the view to scan the whole picture, to work quickly and risk making mistakes is absolutely much more efficient ,more creative and of course, more important.

The lecture shows that the reason for declining the yellow cedar is unknown and debates the three main hypotheses given in the reading passage.

The first hypothesis attributes the decline to  the insect parasite, specifically the cedar bark beetle, The professor, in contrast, points that the tree is more resistant for the beetle than another tree and the other tree have not been damaged, how could this tree for killed by the yellow cedars. So it’s not a reasonable cause.

Another hypothesis in the reading material is that brow bears maybe the reason for the yellow cedar decline, but the listening presents a conflicting fact that there are no bears in the island and the population of yellow trees growing in the island is also declined. So the hypothesis could not explain the fact.

Finally, the professor states that the trees living in warm high equitation is more damaged than those living in cold low equitation, which challenges the third hypothesis which says that the sensitive frozen root caused by climate change is to be blamed for the decline. Therefore the hypothesis cannot be reasonable.

In general, the professor casts doubt the three hypotheses given by the reading passage and explain the reasons in detail.

In the reading passage the writer says that the Ethanol fuel is not a good replacement for 3main reasons, but the professor does not agree with it and refutes the main points in detail.

Firstly, according the passage, the ethanol fuel is also burned into carbon dioxide, increasing the greenhouse gas which causes the global warming. However, the professor points out that although the ethanol fuel produce the green gas ,but it do not add the amounts of the green gas because that it just remove the gas in the plants which would
also release the gas when it was decayed.

Secondly, the passage asserts that it will certainly reduce the amounts of plants available for food use, which mean more corn which used to be food for animal are used to produce ethanol. The professor points out the fact that the ethanol fuel the part of the corns which cannot be eaten by animals , so there is absolutely no reduction for animal food.

Thirdly, the professor explain that when the ethanol fuel is used more widely and have a larger mounts production, the price will be cut down drastically and then, of course, can compete with the gasoline on price even without the subsidies from the government , which have convert the idea in the passage saying the \ price of the ethanol fuel will never be no competitive.

Teachers, playing a significantly important role on the physical and psychological development of students, are the life guide for the students, especially for young children. However, from my perspective, their social or political views are so private and sensitive that it would be much better for them to keep in their own hearts rather than present it in the classroom. I will demonstrate it as below.

On one hand, social and political views are private views and have little benefits for students. Teachers should pay more attention to the education rather than share private views in the public, especially in the classroom. As we known, teachers are also normal people and the social view may be not positive or suitable for other peoples. So imagine if a negative teacher presents the social view to the students, how a serious influence it will bring to the students. What's more, everyone have the freedom to owe their own social views and respect their own religions.
Therefore, to talk about social views in the classroom is not only to waste time which should be spent on the knowledge teaching
but also to put the negative influence on the freedom of
students' social views.

On the other hand, political views are so sensitive and may also make themselves involved in the trouble. For instance, in some countries, the political problems is prevented from talking in the class, and if a teacher may involve some political problems and send may himself into the prison. And even when it was freedom for teachers to talk about political problems, it may also lead some students who disagree with the opinions of the teacher to hate them. Therefore, it’s absolutely a good choice for teachers themselves to avoid sharing political view.

In conclusion, we can certainly claim that social or political views should not be presented by teachers in the classroom for it brings no advantage for both teachers themselves and students.
