陈虎平的解释是 not enough 部分否定所以选C 个人觉得应该是完全否定逻辑为：证据里面的事情 not enough to 证据是部分否定了证据但是这个时候证据就是错的由错误的证据应该直接导致错误的结论（而不是not enoug to 结论=部分否定结论）也即是这个explanation 直接应该完全否定不应该选C=。=

the small changes in isolation could change the delicate...., once the advance starts,...以及第2段的not enough to drive a enormous shift.就是说作者认为这个理论是合理的但是对于解释这个现象是not enough的，即incomplete，需要find other factors来support，作者并没有认为这个theory是wrong/misleading。

分析的很有道理但是我觉得 find other factors是为了引出下面那句the most popular theory（=factor：导致shift in climate的原因）而不一定是为了补充上面一句表明：factors is not enough &Somebody try to find other factors to complete it

不过照我的逻辑其实也应该选C了其实问题问的只是第二层 explanation explanation里面的一个环节有问题其他是OK的的确是 not enough to explanation 应该部分否定如果问的是explanation/theory/mechanism 导致的结果那应该是错误的即完全否定

不错，other factors确实是为了引出一下个theory。但是前面说的是这个理论中的the variation in isolation are not enough.maybe some other factors in the theory besides variation are needed to strengthen it. So, the theory is incomplete。其实你用排除法，A misleading肯定错，B seminal错，D confirmed错，E undervalued错。所以选C

PS：it's just my point of view
