Are many important discoveries likely made by the beginners than the experts in any field of inquiry? I concede that the beginners indeed contribute many innovations to some fields of inquiry. After all, the beginners always have new understanding to some traditional problems--such understanding is very important to any field of inquiry. However,  there are many obstacles that prevent the beginner from achieve essential discoveries. And I strongly agree that it is the experts that make the essential discoveries that make our society progress.

Admittedly, the beginners are more advantageous than the experts in finding some new and cut-age discoveries. As these beginners are full of curiosity and courage, so that they are tend to make critical thinking and innovations, without considering any stereotypes. For example, Einstein published four most famous papers in his twenties. And once he said ( and I  paraphrase), "When I first touch the theory of classic mechanic, I feel that there are some problems in it". It is his ability of critical thinking and not to agree the authority  blindly that the final results that he put forward to the famous theory of relativity lead the people to explore the world of microcosmic and high-speed. Another example is that Watson and Grik, the discoverers of DNA structure, are also the beginners in biology. Thus, beginners

However, there are many inherent obstacles that prevent beginners to make important discoveries. Firstly, the beginners have not devote enough time to learn the basic theories of field that they interest. So they cannot have deep and broad understanding of this field. Without such understanding, it is impossible for them to make crucial discoveries, especially involving researches related to human society such as economics and anthropology.  Secondly, beginners are so enthusiasm and self-trust that they always bury themselves in some impossible solved problems rather than learning the basic knowledge of this field. Generally, it is a waste of time. For example, the institute of mathematics in Chinese Academy of Science receives hundreds of letters from amateurs every year, each of them claims that he has proved Goldbach's conjecture. But the mathematicians find that most of these demonstrations lack the elementary knowledge of the number theory and none of so-called demonstrations can be verified. So, we can not expect the beginners to find significant discoveries for us.

On the other hand, the experts have more advantages to make significant discoveries, as they have profoundly professional knowledge in some special field and can devote their whole life to research what they are like. Darvin, for instance, devote himself in the biology since he was a child, and after long time of investigation and researching, he found that all species were evolved by natural selection from simple and preliminary conditions, and wrote his famous book "The origin of spieces". Mnet, very famous painter known as the founder of impressionism, spent most of his life examining the effect changing light and atmosphere.

In sum, the speaker's claim overemphasizes the beginners in the field of inquiry. Actually, although the beginners make some important discoveries, their achievement can not outweight the importance of that of the experts make.

总体感觉LZ说理还是很顺畅的，这个没有造成理解上的障碍，是优点，发扬之！！
其次，LZ的框架感也不错，至少有意识的让文章有框架
缺点是，LZ的TS都不是非常有力的观点，第一你说新手更善于挑战权威，第二你说新手缺乏基础知识，第三你说老手有专业知识和愿意奉献一辈子。这样你首先否定了1新手在来之前就已经具备了专业知识基础，不然大学干什么了2你否定了新手不愿意奉献一辈子，而且奉献不奉献一辈子对于重要发现究竟有什么必然联系，好像也没有说明。

所以这里存在两个问题，第一，你对新手的定义不明；这就直接导致了你后面的论述显得不够客观；第二，你对inquiry的理解太单一。inquiry指的具体是调查研究，调查研究通过设计一个调研，收集数据和分析数据得出结果这三个步骤。如果很笼统的把它当作研究来说，很容易狭隘你对它的例证，也容易让文章显得“飘”。所以LZ可以从思考题目入手深入你的论证：）
