Admittedly, to politics concealing certain secret is necessary for the purpose of preventing large panic and defending from other countries. However, to tell the public what is the real purpose and its reasoning may relieve the mass from the suffering of dubious of their leaders. If people trust the government and all support it, the aim chased by the political leaders may be effectively reached.

Indeed, it is impossible to public all the secrets of the country. For the interest of the country and its future development, the dishonest affair may deserve understanding and necessity. When dealing with suddenly happened accidents that may cause great panic of residents, such as the appearance of UFO, the first reaction of the government is to conceal the truth before they can explain it with the knowledge we own. This kind of cheating is somewhat innocent and even revealed may not lead to serious harmful. However, during the period of the cold war, considering the safety of the country, the secret must be kept at the highest level, not saying to make known to public it on initiative.

Nevertheless, dishonesty do harm to the society if the judge made by the politicians turned out to be wrong, although the original purpose comes out of goodness. The prevalent of SARS in china should be a typical example to add great weight to the reasoning. At the beginning, the Chinese government though the gravity of this epidemic is not that serious. Their reason to conceal is to prevent the massive scare, one of the sources to economic depression. Finally, the deterioration prove that dishonest to the pubic do harm than good.

Fact is that, whether the politician could be honest to followers is cared more than whether his judging is of adequate wise. In a recent Gallup poll, the character owned by the next president people expected most is honesty. It indicates that the admitting on drugs of Bush’s school time would not constitute the discontent since he is honest on this event, while the threshold problem is those lying words on issue of Iraq. Similarly the reason of the impeachment of Tony Blair should also be attributed to dishonesty.

In the conclusion, honest attitude to the public, even when the reality will introduce discontentment, is necessary. Suitable issues should be selected out for public attention and these areas should be apart from the military and scientific secretes of the country, which once let out a complete nightmare is unavoidable.

移民倾向。加拿大2025 spring 收到了两个offer，分别是mcmaster 的system and technology (有概率coop) Waterloo的ece (非coop) 在纠结选哪个。本人大厂边缘部门三年工作经验～

西安大略Western VS 圭尔夫Guelph

offer： 1、圭尔夫，cybersecurity & threat intelligent 一年制授课硕，圭尔夫在滑铁卢和多伦多附近，是不是实习和工作更多，个人理解这个计算机分支的就业面相对窄，深度相对深，网上信息量很少，请知道的大佬们给点补充。 2、西安大略，ece-software engineering 一年制授课硕，伦敦城市规模中等，位置较远一些，据了解学校和校友资源丰富，但是ece专业几乎所有大学都有，每年学生产量极大，这个ece 软件分支不知道就业面怎么样，大佬们聊聊看。情况：大龄cs行业边缘人，软硬兼吃但都不专业，目标全家留加，先期毕业后先做打工人，所以先用老本行混饭吃，同时拿到这两个offer，大佬们，给点建议，但愿此贴也能给以后的学弟们留下点有用信息。

本科是生工，申环科是因为有点喜欢，申生信是因为感觉比较好就业瓦大环科比较好，但是这个专业网传的就业形势让人很害怕……有懂的人分享一下吗？

渣绩点，求选校?目标读博 Econ

渣绩点，目标读博。? 心里比较偏向 UM 硬核的 EOR 貌似既然想读博的话怎么也离不开那些内容，但又怕自己到时候又读成一个渣绩点的学位；不知道 Tilburg 这个一年制的 MSc 转 Research 有啥希望没； Saint-Etienne 和 Lyon II 好像本身不太有名？（法国系统看不太懂），但相关联的 GATE-Lyon-Saint-Etienne 貌似还不错，在这俩之间比较偏向 Saint-Etienne；然后 Caen Normandie 好像也不太出名吗？申法国时走 EEF 程序忘了上传 GRE（当然可能只是因为我渣绩点跟传不传 g 没关系），其他三所半志愿都被拒了。当然最想去的（但把我拒绝了的）学校还是在法国，不知道读一个学校的 M1 再去申别的 M2 是否可以？（对了，传说中某校那个只招生26岁以下学生要求我没查证到）而且法国预计费用是真便宜啊…
