I agree only partially with the claim. Inthe fields of inquiry, it may be true that, for some occasion the beginner discovers more than the expert. However, the so-called beginners usually are also talented in other fields. The "beginner"s are also usually inspired by the experienced. On the other hand, in many other occasions, the important discovery is still uncovered by the person who work in a specific domain for couple of years.
With no doubt, the new blood in a domain usually doesn’t have too many traditional rules or restrictions to follow. They'll use their own, previous knowledge in other fields to try to work out the problem of their new domain. Louis de Broglie, the famous physicist, had originally intended a career as a humanist, and receive his first degree in history, finally turn his attention toward physics. One of his outstanding works is the founding of wave-particle duality theory of matter. As the new comer in the physics, he did not believe in the existing theories blindly. Instead, he start his own thought by considering the nature of the matter. He finally converged the probabilistic models and the wave mechanics and form the theory of matter wave. However, notes have to be paid attention to, that the works of Louis de Broglie is based on Albert Einstein's and Planck's theories. Without the knowledge from the elder, the big step to form the new theory might not be made so smoothly.
On the other hand, examples abound that researchers worked for decades in a domain do more likely produce more inventions or findings. Looking around in nowadays' labs and enterprises' labs, the senior research leads usually have worked for the company for more than 10 years. The Giant Albert Einstein is the obvious example. He spent almost his lifetime on the theory physics and introduce many important theories and thought.
In summary, it is cruel to overrate the beginners' contribution. The indirect experience from the senior contributor is also the essence. The beginners' contribution is there though. They usually introduce some novel method and thought to aid revolution of the old research field. Not until the cooperation of the beginners and the senior is formed, is the research team efficient to promode innovations.
我也来小拍一下,呵呵,算是回报下BURY兄犀利的砖头

除了类容不够充实外(字数少了点)文章可以说中规中举,朴实无华。 不过做到这样也不错,保4应该问题不大。
