There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Fundamentally, I tend to agree with the speaker's idea(in this statement). If the law is(laws are) just, it(there) is no doubt that every individual is required to respect and obey it(them) at any time. But(?) if the law is unjust, the(this) issue becomes controversial: as talked(discussed) in the statement above, people should disobey and resist unjust laws.
(首先审题是个问题,这个题目的意思是有那么个暗含的前提,就是我们有能力去判断just or unjust的法律)
>
First of all, admittedly, most of laws are just, so we are bound to obey most laws, especially just laws(这句话好象逻辑有点混乱哦~). Ever since individuals began to associate with other people(others) -- to live in society --laws have been the glue that has kept society together. For example, the law in Canada states that we must drive our cars on the right-hand side of a two-way street. If people were allowed to choose at random which side of the street to drive on, driving would be dangerous and chaotic. We need just law(laws) to ensure a safe and peaceful society in which individuals' rights are respected.
>
However, it is true that there are or were many unjust laws in the world( contemporary society), which may break the regulation of the (the 去掉?)ethics of human society and make laws lost their function(fundamental functions). As for the(the 去掉?) unjust laws, what we should do is to disobey and resist them in order to maintain justice and order in society. Here is a telling example to illustrate the (very) situation. During the World War Two, the Nazi legislated a law in which helping Jew hide and giving a hand to help Jew abscond are both illegal, and if you commits this law, you will still be arrested and may be sentenced to death. This law was so unjust that many German resisted the laws by using their power or social connection or money to help Jew to escape to other contiguous countries covertly. Among these great German, there was a famous person called Scindler who saved thousands of Jew’s lives.
>
In addition, every individual has some other ways to amend these unjust laws instead of offending the laws which may cause some sacrifices.(逻辑??) Let me take(Taking) Abraham Lincoln, who is the 16th president of USA, for instance. Before the Civil War, the laws in the south of the America permitted the white farm owners to have the black people as their private slaves. Obviously, these laws were unjust laws. While a majority of blacks found no way to fair and square, they elected Abraham Lincoln as the president of USA, who destroy the unjust laws in the south of the America and leaded to the liberation of black slaves. What's more, legislation and constitution amendment are feasible approaches to resist unjust laws.(冠词的使用需要注意一些~呵呵~~)
>
In summary, taking into account all the factors above-mentioned, it is not difficult to draw the conclusion that every individual in a society must obey just laws and disobey or resist unjust laws. But it is not easy to distinguish "unjust" from "just" because of individual bias, perspectives and interests.(最后这句话最好改改,你前面都没提到的内容最后就不要写了~~)
呵呵,小女子个人愚见~仅供参考~大家共勉~
