In this argument, the author recommends, for the purpose of improving the benefit of our product, that company should suspend the "Endure" manufacturing process. Several evidence cited to support author opinion, it includes that the average period the customer purchase the Dura-Sock is three months, which is too short comparing two there years, and furthermore wavers choose focus the style appearance and availability in kinds of colors. Thought it seems logical, close scrutiny of each of those facts, however, reveals that none of them lend credible support to the recommendation.


In the first, the author claims, form the survey, customers purchase product every three months, the survey don't provide the accurate information about the customers and the attitude to the "endure, which make the survey lack credible, from the article about the details of this survey don't appear, maybe the customer only be asked about the period about purchase, in fact the"Endure" take an important role on customer favor our products, which the survey don't  show. To say the least, the content of survey is true and effective, it is also maybe, because of our product's character "Endure", that the customers, people join in the survey, choose our products, as we known that we do not have to purchase the new one only when it was wore. If it is true, the company would lose customers, and the profits, after stop its use "Endure" process.

Secondly, the style appearance and availability colors attracts customers, this character could not last long time, for the reason that other company could easily copy your style and colors quickly, and they don't need to pay the design of the style and colors,which are not patent, while the "endure" which the other company don't have the ability to imitate,on the other hand, the customers preference would change quickly, which let appearance and colors out of date. Then the products lose competitive power sooner among the other produts. At last, we don't deny that customers attracted come our market for socks influenced by advertisement about its use of "Endure" process and then like the appearance and colors. If this is in the case, the decision undoubtedly reduce the profits instead of increasing the profits.

To sum up, the evidence provided could not hold the author, to make me believe in, the author need to complete the information about the survey, especially about the object, the age of object, and so on, and to think over the relationship between the profits and other factors.
