我3月上旬到OIE(我们这儿叫OIE, office of international education)咨询了一下,从那个advisor的口气听得出来他们似乎不太赞成到第三国签整,说那样太危险,说通过INS转,他听过的好象最快得45天。然后就给了我I-539和一张清单,邮寄地址。我那天回来后给大家写过的,又把它找出来了,如下:
Today I went to OIE. That guy gave me a piece of paper. He said I just need to follow the application procedure on the paper:
1. Completed Form I-539 with $140.00 fee (check or money order made payable to INS);
2. Original Form I-20 signed and dated;
3. Copy of both sides of form I-94;
4. Financial verification;
5. Copies of your spouse's valid Immigration forma: I-94,I-20 ID;
6. Copies of the pages in each individual's passport that include biographical information, passport picture, and passport expirtation.
there is also a note:
NOTE: If you have been offered an assistantship, please include and highlight in your letter:"please grant expedite assistantsgip pending." Also, write on bottom left corner of the enelope "Expedite:Assistantship pending."
这个前面还有一段话,是说你必须又要转身份的理由,给例举了三条:
1.an offer of a graduate assistantship by the school you will attend;
2.a written request from your sponsor requesting you change to F1;
3. your spouse is graduating and is returning to your home country and you need to remain in the U.S. to complete your studies.
booboo, are you sending out your application? I found the list doesn't include the F2 original I-20 form, did you put it in? I checked someone's list, they put it in.
erduoo, I heard from ISSO that the name is Certificate of Attendence, 上学证明
工资证明的话,税表行不行,1042S? 或者offer letter?
