竞争对社会是有害的

In this plural society, competition plays an indispensable role in our daily lives. We can directly see and involve competitions. For example, companies use a lot of strategies in order to sell their product to consumer. At school, students compete with others so that they have a chance to leading universities. Therefore, the controversy arises whether competition good for our society? In my opinion, compare to disadvantage, the competition is more beneficial for our society.

Today, when we buy a same function's product, we have numerous chances. When we buy a laptop, we can choose the Lenovo, HP or Apple. When we buy a car, we also have many choices. we compare the price of the cars and we carefully examine the quality of cars. These factors encourage companies to produce (a low price and comfortable) car. In this situation, companies will spend much money and time to their product. The consumer can buy a more excellent car, and this is true that it is good for our society. If there is not competition, the outcome would be too bad. The case in point is that Microsoft's product such as Windows, now, there are few company that can compete with Microsoft's system in home and office's field(我想表达的是办公和家用领域,不知道这么说行吗?). Hence, we usually complain that the Vista or Window XP cannot work well . There are numerous problems in Microsoft's system. Why do we still use the Windows? The reason is that we don't have chance.

For companies, they also want to have a competitor, because they wouldn't develop quickly unless they have competitor. For instance, Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola, when Pepsi struggles for their financial problems. The Coca borrows some money to Pepsi so that Pepsi can resolve its problem. This is rather strange. Why does Coca would help Pepsi? Generally speaking, this is the best chance that (defeat) their competitor. However, the lead of Coca is a rather perspective. He know that if there don't have competitor, it is not healthy for his company in the long run.

It is true that if the competition is too fierce. The result would be dangerous. The companies would tell some untrue information and (boast) their product. For some small companies, where the competition is fierce they try to intimate product invented by big company, and tell consumer what their product can do, but actually, cannot. Additionally, in China, high school students have to compete with other students in order to go to leading university.  The competition is rather fierce. If they fail, some students may feel depressed and even suicide.

In conclusion, we need competition, the competition can bring society wealthy. However, the fierce competition is bad for society. Therefore, in my opinion, the government should control the competition. We should encourages healthful competition and prohibit the vicious competition.
