TOPIC: ISSUE103 - "The study of history has value only to the extent that it is relevant to our daily lives."
第一次写到接近600字,加油加油

Does the study of history have value to the human beings? Some people give a affirmative answer but emphasize that the value is represented only when the study is relevant to our daily lives. On the opposite, others claim that, besides the ones relevant to our daily lives, other kinds of history are precious and meaningful to the mankind as well. So far as I'm concerned, I appreciate with the later ones, proposing that not only pragmatic history study but also other kinds are valuable to our human beings.
Admittedly, it is the pragmatic history study, which closely related to our daily lives, that draws most attention by the society. In case that there are many similarities between past and present, which enabling us to find the clues of the development of society and get better understanding of the current life, human beings could better solve some urgent problems referring to the past experience generated from history study. To exemplify this point, here is an example that is very compelling. In 2007, an unprecedented Financial Crisis burst out from U.S. then soon spread to Europe, Asia, and all over the world. During the crisis, hundreds and thousands of banks and financial institutions went bankrupt and collapsed around the world. To fight against with the fierce crisis, economists raised various kinds of suggestion. In order to choose the best way out, governments of major economic entities looked back the history, especially the Great Depression happened in 1930s, for guidance. Though causes of these two crises are different, but there are still similarities between them; thus, according to the history study, which shows that huge amounts of credit money ended in inflation and made situation worse, governments decided to implement a mild recovery policy. The incoming years' better behavior of global economy approved that choice. Thus, the history study relating to daily lives truly show great value to us.
However, only concentrating in the pragmatic history study is not enough. Besides giving practical guidance and helping people to solve current problems, history study has many other functions that are meaningful to us. It is necessary for us to notice that, though history study, we can know better about ourselves, gaining more identify of our nation and people. For example, history studies that research origin and development of our nation provide us more knowledge about the past. Learning the difficulties suffered by our predecessors, we share more solidarity.
Besides, learning from the past sometimes inspires people to make huge success. Though some past knowledge may seem irrelevant to present life, an insight study and generalization of the past histories values a lot. Take the economics study as a vivid example, Marshall and Paul Samuelson, two of the most influential and respectable economists in history are famous for their excellent job in summarizing the job of their ascendants and create new era of economics study. Marshall is one of the founders of neoclassical economics. His book, Principles of Economics, brings the ideas of supply and demand, of marginal utility and of the costs of production into a coherent whole. Paul Samuelson, the first American to win the Nobel Prize in Economics, was essential in creating the Neoclassical synthesis, which incorporated Keynesian and neoclassical principles and still dominates current mainstream economics.
Accordingly, focusing on the practical history study is necessary but not enough for the human beings. We should put equal interest in all kinds of history studies; after all, all are beneficial and valuable to human beings.

(good begining~~and vocabulary is good too~~)

(impressive example , but I think you can narrate it better )

(an another good example , but I strongly suggest that please narrate it from most powerful aspects )

Accordingly, focusing on the practical history study is necessary but not enough for the human beings. We should put equal interest in all kinds of history studies; after all, all are beneficial and valuable to human beings.
(Maybe it time up , you can give some more words to endding)

(1) I love your work ,I love your work!!!
(2)I am gonna be nitpicker to give you some suggenstion about the logic of this artical , it seems that the whole work is fubulous but at begining you said "I appreciate with the later ones, proposing that not only pragmatic history study but also other kinds are valuable to our human beings.", but all the examples in this artical seems quite "pragmatic",if there is evident to support "non-pragmatic" aspects , I think it will be better.
