1 从第二个空下手  by political coercion所以选imposed 再根据trigger 与第一个空相反即作者自己的东西只能选b
2 也是第二个空 more widespread是在肯定这种record keeping 故填好的词systematic  根据rather可以知道第一个空只是方法变了并不是活动多了

我的一点理解  希望有点用处

1. 第一题属于直接复述题。
先决条件：the challenge of interpreting fictional works written under political repressive regimes
那么：interpreting fictional works 必然受到political repressive regimes
作用，从后文可知，其也应该受到an author's beliefs的作用。
那么后面无非是distinguishing an author's beliefs的作用frompolitical repressive regimes
作用。

organic [ɔ:'gænik]
adj.器官的, 有机的, 有组织的, 根本的, 接近自然的
n.有机物质

impose on
把 ... 强加于, 施加, 利用

第二题，句子主体是the number of reported volcanic eruptions indicates。
发现although，句子存在转折。
前一句是the number of reported volcanic eruptions has risen exponentically ，言外之意，就是正常情况下，volcanic eruptions 越来越多，才会导致reports越来越多。但是存在转折，说明后面导致reports越来越多的情况，是由其他方面造成的。
indicates not _____volcanic activity but rather more widespread and ____record keeping
表明，不是火山爆发越来越频繁，而是记录越来越系统。
第一空对应has risen exponentically ，选择C，第二空选正面且可以修饰keeping的词，选D。
