Whether the tantamount finiancial support should be put on the sports and social activities as well as classes and libraries at universities and colleges, it is widely discussed by a variety of people. Some people may think that it is unnecessary for the main task of the students is to study well, wheras other people may insist that it is of great importance ,as for me, I take side with the latter view.

To begin with, sports and social activities do add spice to students’ daliy lives. For one thing, playing sports has got a great number of benefit, such as expanding students’ horizons, making friends with other students who share the similar interests or cultivating the sense of cooperation to overcome difficulties, thus, it is rational to say that sometimes, those benefits are of great significance to the developments of the students rather than the rigid konledge itself. Take my experience as an example, I used to play badmintion every day and through playing, I could jump or run in the process and it help me keep healthy and also, when I felt tired, I could just sit to watch others play, it is really important for me to learn some skills, and also, I made friends with them and learn a lot from them as the positive attitude to life, the notion of power and wisdom. Thus it is hard to imagine that what life will be without enough sports and social activities.

What is more, sports and social activities are really positive for students’ study. As the saying gose,” all work and no play makes jack a dull boy”, students now are really under high pressure, and they have to take endless upcoming tests, do their homework and write plenty of papers. Thus they need some social activities to have a relax. Consequently, when they are tired of their study, they could play football,basketball or vollyball or the could join in some reading or singing clubs to refresh themselves, and this could help them to study efficiently to some extent. Thus, form this angle, the equal financial support as calsses and libraries seems justified.

The last but not the least, equal financial support contribute to the more enrollment of the new students and more donation from the aluminia for the school. Nowadays, the quality of teaching is not the only standard for students to choose which school they will attend, and it is the great number of the students that lay the solid foundation of the development of the school. Thus, school’s financial support for the social activities is likely to be vital. More importantly, with enough financial support,schools would gain wonderful reputation in the country, and with better reputation, schools seem to obtain more and more donation from the aluminia.In this way, the equal financial support is pretty necessary.

Above all. I do believe that sports and social activities are as important as classes and libraries and they should get enough financial support.
