美国德克萨斯大学圣安东尼奥分校计算机系刘通平老师招收计算机系统方向博士生2到4名，可以2015年春季和秋季入学(注：春季入学申请截止日期为10月1日。秋季入学的截止日期为2月1日)。

一旦招收，均为全额奖学金，包括：
1. 博士生每个学期的学费全部包括在奖学金内，不需额外支付学费。
2. 导师将给你安排RA（助研）职位，每月大约2000美元的薪水，一般足够供学生在美国的生活开支。

刘老师具有丰富的工业界经历和联系，他曾经在Vmware，三星研究中心，IBM研究中心，华为美研所和NEC研究中心工作过。可以帮助联系大公司的实习经历，推荐在美工作机会。
所招博士生需有科研热情，并且编程能力突出的学生，GPA可适当放宽。因为读博时间较长，有关科研方面的能力，可在读博期间逐渐培养。读博的前1年，主要是修课，根据科研需要，修有关的专业课程。申请者需要有GRE成绩，但对分数没有具体要求。TOEFL Internet成绩不少于79分。 Toefl paper:550. IELTS: 6.5

His research spans runtime systems, operating systems, programming language and software engineering, compilers, and distributed systems. His primary research goal is to practically improve the reliability and performance of parallel software. His work appeared in those most prestigious system conferences, including SOSP and OSDI. A lot of industrial giants, such as IBM, Huawei, and SAS, are planning to utilize my false sharing detection technique to discover problems of their products.
