No field of study can advance significantly unless outsiders bring their knowledge and experience to that field of study.
------正文------
I concede with the assertion that most field of study can advance significantly with the knowledge and experience from another realm of subject, especially in today's life. Many famous scientists also combined their academic knowledge with skills from other field to create great progress one after another; some filed could still advance significantly without any help.
Obviously, in the era of rapid technological change, more and more similarities are found between subjects that are parallel to each other at pervious time. For example, the technology and biology was completely parallel from each other while the radar used in aviation and military widely is a copy of the way in which bats used for orientation. Not only bring knowledge from the other subjects, the technology also contribute to the other realm of subject. For instance, I have seen the exploration in Egypt at high school that influences me a lot. Because of the narrow entry, the biologist can't get more information from it. Then with the help of a small robot with a video on its narrow and long arms, a world nearly 4500 years ago could be revealed in front of us. So today, it is a tendency that more and more subjects take advantages from other subjects and make a far progress.
What's more, many great scientists combine the different subjects what they learned together very well. Take Picasso for example, who was not only famous for his painting, but also do a good job in sculpture ceramics and stage design .In his paintings, we can find those factors above which make him to be a unique painter with his own style. Another example is Newton, who had a considerable knowledge in both physics and mathematics. Without the knowledge, the formula can't be generated. Those great scientist compound what they leant together and make great contribution to the progress of each subject.
However, some realm of study can make a significant progress without any other knowledge and experience and many famous people make great contribution with their own effort instead of the knowledge out of their own subject. Take Jane Austen to illustrate the point, who is a writer famous for Pride and Prejudice. What is the inspiration of the great book to her? Of course not any knowledge form other subject. In fact ,she spend most time at home and do those things as common people. She make a great effort to take the careful observation around her, which is the reason for her success. As the matter, some field of study can advance greatly through their own effort.
In summary, no matter what the field is, advance could be brought out as long as we devote us in. Considerable knowledge can really help us a lot at the base that we have a grasp at our own subject. With great effort and considerable knowledge, we can make a great advance at the subjects and also ourselves.
