貌似自己申请美国大学Summer Session的案例比较少,我就简单分享一下我的签经...

简单介绍下背景: 自己申请的UC Berkeley的Summer Session

可能F-1的签证高峰还没来,今天一早人基本都是商务/探亲,总共也就1百人左右...

老实说准备的不是十分充分,以至于今天去的时候根本分不清哪个是水车哪个是杀手...所以所有的VO对我来说都是一样的简单描述一下签我的VO -- 男,有点秃顶,微胖~-___-b 对于问题我也没怎么准备,就是想了想几个常见问题的答案什么的,基本只要如实回答就行了...

Me(M): Good Morning
VO(V): Good Morning
M: How's your day today? Having a good sleep?
V: (眼睛盯着屏幕...) Hold down... (转身走开)
M: (汗..., 把材料拿出来归了下类...) 耐心等待中...
V: (回来了) Please put your left finger on xxx ...
(中间省略按手指那一段,我适当和他Joking了一下...)

V: When will you graduate from Fudan University?
M: When? In the year 2008.
V: In the year 2002, you went to U.K.? What's that about?
M: Do you want me to show you (准备拿老的护照和一些证明文件)...(被打断)
V: No, I dont want you to show me any certification...
M: It's kinda a summer camp program organized by my high school. In half of the time, we learn English, living in the local family(homestay) and experience different culture, and in the other half of the time we travel alot around England ... and the program at Australia in 2000 is similar ...
V: You will stay in USA for just 2 months?
M: Yeah~ since it's just a summer session of UC Berkeley.
V: What do your parents do?
M: My parents start their own business, separately (blar blar blar...) ...
V: (突然换成中文)恭喜你,你通过了~
M: (愣了一下...)Thank you~

整个过程可能不超过2分钟... 整个过程中我只出具了必要的文件,其他什么材料都没问我要,包括财产证明成绩单,学籍证明什么的通通都没看... 总的来说形势很不错~不过也有被拒的,貌似某个外地来的旅游团都被拒了... 不过前面好多探亲的商务的都过了呵呵...

我也来YC
背景和jason一样,我们是同班同学,但是我没出过国...所以拉着jason一起签,交材料的时候和那个中国人说我们一起的,而且jason放前面...结果他好奇的问"你们俩都是F1??"我汗...又不是携签.

7号窗口,Jason先被叫到的时候我就在后面等,然后被保安大叔拉开了...
没过一会只见某人傻呵呵的笑着走了回来,于是我心情愉快的走了上去

Me(M): Good Morning, how are you today?
VO(V): Morning(不睬我的套近乎...)
V: Please put your left finger on xxx ...
(中间省略)
V: When will you graduate from Fudan University?
M: In the year 2008.
V: What do you parents do?
M: My father is the owner of a textile company and my mother is a maths teacher in a junior high school.
V: So how about your family income monthly?
M: My father earns about...XXX per year(准备过这个问题,当时想的是年收入,
想除以12但是当时脑子转不动就只好这样说了). And my mother gets XXX per month
V: (看资料,因为看了GT的提示关于亲戚那栏只有父母打了叉其他没打)Do you have any relatives in the States?
M: Yes, I have an uncle living in Hawaii.
V: (帮我把其他叉打上,指着sons and daughters一栏)You don't have any kids don't you?(笑)
M:(笑)no, definitely not.
V: So what's your plan about your journey after finishing the summer session?
M: (以为问结束了去哪里玩,愣)...
V: Will you come back to Fudan?
M: Sure, and I'm going to the Chinese University of Hongkong as an exchange student next semester.
V: (看屏,不说话)
M: (暴紧张,以为要被拒了)Both of my parents have been to the States and they suggest that the experience in American top universities will help a lot to improve my academic and social abillity...blablabla
V: (撕条)Good luck with your study.
M: Thanks a million.

准备了一堆成绩单学籍证明财产证明什么都没用上.时间比jason还短.简直有点不敢相信这么轻松就搞定了.Jason进去交绿条子的时候我看见一个J1也轻松通过,还有2个中年探亲女人...看来上海的形势果然不错~bless all
