学校是否应投资sports and social activities the same as classes and libraries.
限时写作
During our first twenty years of lives, we have been connected closely with the school, first elementary school, then high school, and someone would pursue further study in a university or college. The functions of these are different, so I think this question should be discussed based on the kind of the school.
For elementary schools, I think they may consider investing the same money in sports and social activities with in classes and libraries. Because students in elementary schools are all children who are in crucial period of their lives to learn sports and the cultivation of the school could lead them to gain great interest in exercising. Also, the social activities organized by schools can tell them some foundament virtues, what is  right and what is wrong. Or else, they may lose the best time to learn them. Take my elementary school as an example. My school had not pay enough attention on the sports and social activities. We had neither enough sports class nor sports equipments. The direct result was that the average physical quality of students were low and students were not good at sports. Furthermore, students in this period are not in need of numerous books in the libraries, so elementary schools do not have to pay too much to the libraries.
However, for universities and colleges, the situation has changed. The classes and libraries are much more important than the former one since universities should provide learning environment for more students than elementary schools. Imagine the condition that tens of thousands students have not enough classes to study. Furthermore, another difference is that students in colleges and universities are in various majors such as chemistry, physics and psychology. They need giant libraries to accommodate the relevant references. Also, the college students are ready to enter into the society, so they need extensive knowledge to enrich them. The library should serve for this purpose and then investment becomes necessary to maintain its work. Maybe someone will ask, do not these students need sports and social activities? They do need these things, but as the adults, they have and should have the ability to find such opportunities in society instead of waiting the investment from the school.
In a nut shell, it is the difference in function that cause the different investment in elementary schools and universities. We'd better do the appropriate thing at certain time, or else the students would be the final victims.

The functions of these are different, so I think this question should be discussed based on the kind of the school. (简洁明了,切题)

My school had not paid enough attention to the sports and social activities. We had neither enough sports class nor sports equipments. The direct result was that the average physical quality of students were low and students were not good at sports. Furthermore, students in this period are not in need of numerous books in the libraries, so elementary schools do not have to pay too much to the libraries. (最后一句话,有点片面。学生不需要,老师需要。我建议还是肯定lib的重要性。)

However, for universities and colleges, the situation is on the other way around. The classes and libraries are much more important than the former one since universities should provide learning environment for more students than elementary schools. Imagine the condition that tens of thousands students have not enough classes to study(此处意思没有表达完整). In a nut shell, it is the difference in function that cause the different investment in elementary schools and universities. We'd better do the appropriate thing at certain time, or else the students would be the final victims.(如果只是对比elementary 和 university的话,我想第一节里high school之类的就不用讲了。

总评:思路清晰,行文流畅。
