Preservation of the environment has attracted more and more attentions through out the world after a great deal of disasters happened in recent years +together with damages human beings done to the globe. More people realize that if the situation went on, we might face a tougher situation that beyond our power. Crucial cities as the political, commercial or cultural centers of the nation first come into our sight that needs protection. However, what about some remote places accessible to only a few people? Should the government let them alone or should they take some actions to preserve them?

First let us check this example from the north of China. In these about 10 years, almost all the cities, rural areas and villages have experienced these storms named Sand Storm (SS) which once occurs only in the deserts. The SSs take place every spring when the climate is so dry that moisture in the soil becomes vapor then soils become dust and sand. And the high pressure of the atmosphere in Siberian altiplano draws a bunch of blasts blowing from the continent to the sea, which, of course, accelerates the formation of SS. What is more, the north places are bare to the blast without much vegetation for the reason that it is so far from the rule of the government that people can optionally cut down trees for furniture or fire and browse without any watch. Until the SSs inbreak to the office building of the governments, people become aware of what is going on. Laws and official regulations passed from the high to the low government institutions to ban cutting woods and damaging the vegetation. Damages did not extend anymore, but it can hardly go back to the environment before in short time. Experts said that it would take at least 20 years for the forests and grasses to recover.

Although one example cannot represent the whole, from the Sand Storm above however, it is clear that no matter how far the wildness is, authorities should prevent it from destroying for the benefit of the people. The authorities should not only enact laws, bills and regulations but also bring them into effects which are absolutely hard works. Because lots of factors influence the effects in which individuals play a crucial role. There is a long way from legislation to people’s actions. Meanwhile, it would be equally bad with hypercorrection, that is, to interfere people’s normal life by checking every detail about how to preserve the natural state which would make people feel uncomfortable, or even repulsive.
