Topic: ";People who are the most deeply committed to an idea or policy are the most critical of it"

Although it seemingly exists paradox on the surface on this topic, it is actually identical and well-united that people who are deeply committed to the idea and policy are most critical of it. It can be explainable and the explanation can be well supported.

Firstly, those people who are deeply committed to an idea or policy must be the most familiar with and knowledgeable of it. So they have the authority and ability to give critical opinions and suggestion.
There was an aphorism that no understanding, no privilege to hold your hand. This illustrate that if you want to give comment on the idea or policy to people and want to be accepted you should be deeply familiar with and knowledgeable of  it.

Secondly, generally speaking, we always accept an idea or policy step by step and from knowing to understanding to deeply committed to it and only sticking to the critical attitude to an idea and policy, we are possible committed to it more and more deeply.
Some of the most profound thinkers of our time have practiced the art of critical thinking by using two magic phrases: I don't know and I am not sure yet. In such a society today, it is a courageous and unusual act to pause, to look, to examine, to be thoughtful to consider many facets of an idea or policy we are committed deeply. Surely after your public criticism of an idea or policy, you must be prepared to receive eggs from anywhere. But though the process of your criticism of the idea or policy, you may make yourself developed in a big step.

Thirdly, the animate ideas and policy are always developing and promoted with the improvement of the era and environment of the society by the people who are committed to it.
An example of Marxism theory is a best explanation for it. The original Marxism theory is not suitable for China, Russian and some other communism countries. Some people committed to the communism developed the Marxism theory and practiced it in they country. With the process of practice of it, they had always gave critical opinions and suggestion to it and sometimes they argued with each other so that they could deep-going develop the Marxism theory they are committed to.
In some popular enterprises, the administrators of the enterprise always show great appreciation of those people questioning the culture of the enterprises so that they could better amend the policy for their company.
In the sciences field, there also are many examples. Roberts Ernestine one of the most popular physics in the world who were critical of the theory of Newtown Mechanics had given the worldwide famous theory of relativity and given great contribution the world.

On the contrast, If a person committed to an idea always put it under his protection, it suggests that he shouldn't be committed to the idea or policy practically and only want to get benefits from this action or other reasons.

In a word, through the explanation from four facets of the surface paradoxical topic, we can confirm that the topic that people who are the most deeply committed to an idea or policy are the most critical of it is reasonable, sensible and logical to us. Further, through this topic, we can learn that if we want to be committed to an idea or policy we trust we should hold a critical thinking.
