题目：Do you agree or disagree with the following statement.For someone who wants to be successful in the society, knowledge gained from study is more important than the ability of being creative（2006 年10 月15 日）

There are many factors which people need to gain success in the society,like knowledge and creativity. Someone may think that the creative ability is less important than knowledge obtained from study. However, in my opinion, the innovative ability is more crucial if someone want to success in many regions,like science and technology.

First,in science region, it is a totally failure when a person is not able to innovate no matter how much
information he/she gains. As we know, the most important task of science is to invent new theories, methods, observe new phenomenon, and something else. If someone can not fulfill this task,in other words,he/she is not creative,it means a great lose. For example, in China, there are lots of students who get much more science knowledge from book than US students before college. But after beginning to research, they are not as much innovative as US peers. It explains that why they are much less influential generally than the US scientists. In short, even owning much knowledge than any other else but not innovative enough, the person can not be said as a good scientist.

When it comes to technology, creative plays a more important role in gaining success. On the other hand,if people lose their creative, they may fail quickly. For example, Apple Inc. confronted a difficult situation, when it could not invent a product with enough creativity before 2000. The profit was decreasing and the price of stock went down sharply. Then Steve Jobs came to reform the company. He leaded the company's tech team to invent Ipod, which is a revolutionary portal music player. Now it is so welcome that it is widely used all over the world. It is Ipod that cause Apple Inc to recover. Not only the company's profit is increasing greatly ,but also the share price boosts. It is a huge success to Steve Jobs to create the Ipod. So when someone want to be successful in technology, he/she must be creative.

To sum up, creative ability take up a more significant position than knowledge if someone want to be successful. They should pay great attention to cultivate the innovate ability. How to be creative? How to make a difference? They are still problems which need to solve and think deeply.
