As a result of industry revolution and technology innovation, so much is new and complex today compared with things in the past. The speaker asserts that looking back for an understanding of the past provides little guidance for living in the present. Instead, I share the belief that taking a look at the past things will be beneficial, instead of useless, for our living at present.(第一段很简明,好~)
Without question, the blooming development of industry and technology has changed the circumstances where people live, as well as their ideas. Automobiles and planes make traveling with(between) long distance and(in) short time possible; kinds of inventions like typewriters (and) vacuum cleaners liberate people from the trivia; mobile phones and internet link those who live in both(oppsite) sides of Pacific Ocean together. All these make people's life easier and (more) convenient than ever before. Besides great changes brought about by the new inventions, people's novel ideas, which are stemmed(stems) from the globalization, have influenced present life as well. Globalization plays an important role in changing people's daily life. In the office, one may cooperate with people from all over the world, which means he or she must take the diversities of cultures into consideration when making new decisions, maybe from which the speaker's assertion that the past provides little guidance for the present comes.(定从可以定两次吗?)(这段再压一点比较好,重心后移一点)
However, since past, present and the future serially go one after another, separating any of them seems unwise at all. The past provides guidance for the present, in the say(same) way that does for the future. For one thing, looking back at the past timely comforts us when we are knuckled(疑是pushed) to the reality of present life---(破折号三条线)too fast pace and lonely minds. An old photo or a piece of familiar melody may remind us of joys and sorrows, and the precious memory may enlighten us to lead a happier life.(enlighten us to lead a happier life?) Moreover, when confronted with difficulties, we may find the possible solutions, or at least, gain courage to overcome them by thinking back to(?) the past issues. As the famous writer Bacon pointed out, "History makes a wise man." The past experience serves as the Pierian Spring, offering us wisdom and intelligence. In addition, by reflecting on our life past(past life) to know what we have lost and possess, we can learn how to lead a life for a better future.
Admittedly, merely pursuing for comfort and experience from the reminiscence brings no good for the present life. Instead, excess lost in the past lead to sentimental(frail emotion) and sadness all the time, which seems abject and ignorable. And too much dependence on the experience limits our creativity, hampering the progress of society. In short, we should never go to extremes when searching for an understanding of the past.
In sum, even though things appear to be so new and complex today, it is necessary for us to dig our past for cure(?) of our lonely mind, to search for answers to the present rubs, and to understand what we should do for the sake of a better future.
我的那篇写了N多小时外加N次查字典,别提了就~ |
