We live in a world of prosperity. Traveling has now become a life style for some people. Whether to go travel along or to go with a sightseeing group is a choice expressed in front of everyone. As to me, I prefer to go travelling along.

We can not deny that to travel within a group dose not need us to a spend other energy on planning the travel routine, deciding places to live in, choosing transportation to take, and determining other details along the journey. What we should do is just eating, sightseeing and shopping.

However, my opinion holds that when compared to go travel along, the disadvantage of travel within a group is overweigh its' advantage.

First of all, all the tourists have to obey the schedule made by the travel agency, especially the time-table. One common feature shared by all tourist guides is that before go sightseeing they may make an appointment about the exact time when the travelers must go back, and the time span is estimated all by the guide's experience. Taking my experience for an instance, my first travel to Beijing is go with a travel group. Our guide gave us one and a half hour to finish the visit in Forbidden City. The City is so large that I simply go around the main route based on the map. When I went back, I surprisingly found that many olds in my group had already got on the bus. After talking to them, I knew that they finished their trip so quickly because they were afraid of being late for the appointment, as a result they just went to one out of three main buildings, which near the entrance. These would never happen when we go for a travel all alone. I could spend a whole day in the Forbidden City as I wish, and that is what I did at my second time visiting the capital city of China.

Secondly, it is nearly impossible for all the members in one group to have the same interests in the items included in the travel schedule provided by the travel agency. In order to explain my point, let me show another experience of my own. I took part in one travel group, which consists of my mother's colleagues, to travel to Hong Kong. The travel bus took us to many jewelry stores. One half of the group members are women over forty, I can see the light shining from their eyes, at the meanwhile I almost go crazy when we step into the third jewelry store in one morning. On the contrary, I travel to Yunnan alone this winter holiday, I made my own special travel routine and time-table as I like and had an excellent holiday.

In sum, to go travel alone gives me the freedom which can not be given by the tourist agency. And the fun of travel can expand to the planning part not only stay along the road.
