1. I wonder if there are any requirements for the notary public office, for example, is it must be a municipal office? Or a smaller district office is okay as well?
We will accept the Notarial Certificate by any Notary Public Office in P.R.C.
2.If my supporting documents, such as volunteer certificates, certificates of awards, are in Chinese originally, is it necessary to translate them into English, then declare them before a notary public, to ensure that the English translations are in accordance with Chinese originals?
It is better to translate them into English but not need to declare by notary public.
3. May I just submit true copies in Chinese attached with English translations? Because I need to apply for other LLM programmes, I am afraid that I have to keep originals in case of need.
Yes, you could submit the certified true copy of official transcript, graduation diploma/bachelor's degree (if any) in both Chinese and English version for application.
4. Is that okay if the notarized certificates offered by notary public office themselves are in Chinese? Shall I translate them into English as well?
The Notary Office should able to provide the Certificate in both Chinese and English version.
