try a list of master program in European Continental....
not necessarily you will get a scholarship but at least you can save the tuition fee in many of them

list的意思是海投么。。。？QS排名能给个参考位置么？
另外，为什么是欧洲呢？欧洲以外都没戏？

欧陆有些学校还有奖学金法国公立学校都不需要学费
其它地方master项目基本都是用来增加学校收入的哪里来的奖学金。。。

ECON的项目从来不陶瓷的没有用反而遭反感
美国学校没什么研究型master的。。。master在美国教育体系中就是本科学的不够的时候补充一下背景用的

1. Yes, 海投, applying to 10-15 or even near 20 should be a piece of cake if you have enough reference letter.

2. QS is a joke, which should be throw into the rubbish bin directly. If you are still only thinking about QS, it is a clear signal that you have no clear idea why you need a master.

3. well....indeed you missed the most important question: why do you want a master? what's the plan afterwards?

4. well, too simple, sometimes naïve.....you have to know that, US, UK (and Australia, also HK, SG) are offering (or selling) master to international student simply because their department need $$ from the tution fee. You are basically robbing $$ from their pocket if you want a schloarship from them.
It is possible that you may get a bit partial tuition waiver from a US one, but the price is satisfying with a lower rank school indeed.
By the way, a couple of Canadian program are quite cheap also, though they have very limited vancanies for international students.

多谢指教！
提到北美的研究型硕士其实是因为看到几个加拿大的学校都有类似的区分，比如MA PhD stream（uToronto）或者master with thesis会给奖，而professional master和master without thesis就没奖且时间短。而前者感觉就是phd的预备，所以会有要不要陶瓷的疑问。

嗯别客气
美帝不像欧洲那样先master 再phd 美国学生要读phd 的一般都本科开始准备了然后直接申一步到位
所以基本没有什么类似于MPhil的research oriented 的master项目
对申Phd帮助大的也就那么几个 Duke master这种不过也都是修课为主
就算一般的Econ master项目也不太多而且有些还是最近几年international student 变多之后为吸引国际学生（$$)开设的项目

一直在备考，再次多谢大神指教！
1. 有看usnews,只是不知道QS is a joke，因为感觉QS收的学校比较多所以问的QS。不过即使是海投，也得参考着有个定位吧？
2. plan afterwards：目前倾向于industry
3. 谢谢你的提醒，我是有看到北美也有econ, agecon的全奖项目，但不知道是不是难度太大才有此一问

1. QS的唯一參考價值, 就是因為有某些公司會看. 當然, 如果一間學校公司要看QS ranking才能verify為不是爛校的話, 這個學校的留學回報也是一個問題了.

2. why economics then? go for a more practical major, like mathematical finance, or accounting instead then......

3. 也同時可以看看某幾間的applied econ master, like NYU, UMichigan Ann Arbor, UCLA.
