原来约的是10号，结果一行二十多个人被领馆放鸽子了。
期间的情形也懒得多说了，祸福谁也说不清。

因为前天的原因，我们一行的27人第一批被放进去。
很快就交了材料和按了手印，我领了9号，就坐在那里等。
等到9:23左右，9号窗开始闪：8号；
8号的mm还没反应过来，结果等了30秒左右，里面的hfmm用中文叫起来了：
8号到底签不签？
8号的mm才回过神来，上前，纠缠了15分钟，结果被据了。
期间另外一个窗口也开了，也是一个mm, 闪1号,很快1号就pass了，
轮到2号，期间另外一个窗口也开了，应该是一个gg.

我专心的盯着窗口的屏幕，想只要不到9号窗就行了，结果还是叫上我的号了。
有点紧张，就上前了：

Me: Nice to me you.
(当时mm, 没有看我，估计大家声音大一些要好)
Vo: Nice to meet you too， how are you?
Me: Fine, thank you, and you?
Vo: Me too, so you will go to University XXX
Me: Yes,
Vo: Why?
Me: First XXX is famous for its research in chemistry, especially in the analy

tical chemistry, the field I will study. Second, XXX is a very beautiful place

for sightseeing, and good for sport too. （我还想讲第三个理由，被打断了）
Vo: What is analytical chemistry do?
Me: It uses some kinds of apparatus to test the samples, for example, to test

the ingredient in the food, to test the contamination in the water.
Vo: Do you have a resume with you?
Me: Yes, wait a minute.
(我把Resume 拿出来给她，还说，here you are, thank you)
Vo: What do you do in you master degree?
(我没听的清楚,就问了她一句, 我是硕士申请的)
Me: You means now or in the future?
Vo: Now.
Me: My thesis is 'Wavelet in Chemistry'
Vo: What is wavelet do?
Me: It uses some kinds of mathematics and computer methods to solve the chemis

try problem.
Vo: Have you choose your future advisor?
Me: Not yet, I will choose one after one-year study.
Vo: Do you have one that matches your interest in your mind?
Me: Yes, （因为有点敏感，没直接给她）, would you like to have a look at his ho

me page?
Vo: Yes.
Me: wait a minute, 递给她， here you are , thank you.
最难的问题来了：
Vo: What is the different between Raman Spectroscopy and Infrared sepctroscopy

?
我当时就懵了，不会吧，这么专业的问题。
(Vo 问这个问题的原因是，我选的未来导师做Raman光谱方向，主页上的内容)
Me: The absorptions of the molecule of them are different, the IR use the vibr

ation, the Raman use。。。, (卡住了，不知道怎讲)；补充了一句，the mechanism o

f two methods are different.
(我想她也不懂，就蒙她)
Vo: Why do you choose this advisor in your future, since you do polymer in you

r undergraduate, wavelet in master, and Spectroscopy in the future?
(我的方向变动太大了，本科，硕士和将来都不太一样,感觉很难回答)
Me: Actually, now I am using the mathematic and computer technique to solve th

e chemistry problem, in the future I will use the apparatus/machine to do the

test; I want to combine them together.
Vo: What did you do in XXX company (我本科毕业后工作过)
Me: I use the apparatus to test the contamination on the samples.
Vo: What will you after you graduated?
Me: I will come back to China to do the research on traditional Chinese medici

ne, which is a very useful medicine; I want to apply the techniques that I hav

e studies to the research.
Vo: Do you have detail information on your research?
(我没听太清楚，问了一句)
Me: You means my publication?
Vo: Yes
Me: You need the abstract or the full publication ?
Vo: The abstract will do.
Me: wait a minute
(递给她，说here you are, thank you.)
期间Vo没说话，对着屏幕敲，还核对Resume 和我publication 的abstract.
大概有2分钟之久，Vo回过头来，并在I-20表上写，我感觉很紧张，不知道是写什么。

Vo: Would you please go to Windows No. 11.
Me: Thank you very much, have a nice day.
Vo: You too.

整个过程大概15分钟，我还是有些紧张。
Vo, 的发音清晰，语速适中。中间有一两个问题没听太清，就反问了她一次。

签证顺利通过得益于很多同学的帮忙：
首先最要感谢的哥们qmoron, 帮我约的时间，7号能约到10号真是很神奇；
感谢他陪我练Vo, 准备材料，还有很多其他的帮助；
感谢去Rchester的Georgelee, 给予认真核对表格和许多的建议；
还有感谢Jiang, （cft u）; 还有上海的同学老三，多谢你的招待。

特别要感谢的是我们同行的27人的代表：复旦的一gg和mm; 再次说声，辛苦了！
感谢各位版主大人们和各位飞友；也祝大家顺利pass.

几点提醒：
（1）分层的文件袋是必备的，
Vo向你要材料时可以不必手忙脚乱地找，另外很容易核对材料是否齐全；
东区银行旁的商店有卖 12元；
（2）对自己的材料要很熟悉，没有确定导师的最好选一个跟自己方向相近的，如果方向

不同，想好怎么回答。看一遍所有的材料，想想Vo会问什么问题，想想该怎样回答。
（3） DS表格中所有空的地方要划掉，找签过地同学检查一遍。
（4） Ds157表中14: 一律选No; 我原来选yes, Georgelee 帮我修正了。（死里逃生了一

回）
（5）多带一份空白表格，以免表格填写有误；
（6）路途注意饮食，长途跋涉，身体可能会有不适；
（7）关于签证的顺序，还是跟早去的顺序有关，因此想早签地最好早去排队，6点吧。有

签过的同学代排最好。
（8） hfmm 好像不只一个，后来人再考证吧。
