位置简介：Dr. Jun Chen has one available Ph.D. position in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Oakland University to work on the newly funded NSF CAREER project. The research areas include Model Predictive Control, Reinforcement Learning, Electric Vehicles, and Battery Systems. The Ph.D. program is expected to start in September 2023 and financial support will be given to promising and competent applicants. 要求: Applicants should have a M.S. degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a closely related field. Self-motivation, excellence in math, and good communication and programming skills are expected. Previous background in control theory, machine learning, electric vehicles, and battery control are required. Other experience in mechatronics, electronics, mathematics, and/or modeling are also appreciated.

导师介绍: Dr. Jun Chen is currently with Oakland University as an Assistant Professor. He received his B.S. degree in Automation from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou China, in 2009, and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with minor in Computer Science from Iowa State University, Ames, IA, USA, in 2014. He was a research scientist with Idaho National Laboratory from 2014 to 2016 and a senior control engineer with General Motors from 2017 to 2020. Dr. Chen is a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award from National Science Foundation, and the Best Paper Award from IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering.
