With a rapid development of modern technology, more and more people begin to concern that whether some restrictions should be placed on scientific research. Of course, we need to confine scientific development into an acceptable area, otherwise our society will be destroyed by the technology generated by our own. However, what we need to do is not to fully suppress it but to selectively conduct its development to such direction which will catalyze our evolvement.

Admittedly, the development of modern technology does facilitate our life to a really large extent. Computer makes our work much easier than ever before. Internet makes our life much more convenient and shortens the distance from one person to another. Traffic vehicles reduce the amount of time that we will spend on the way. Such kinds of inventions have already become one indispensible part of our modern life.

However, overdependence of technology will also degrade our natural ability and even threaten our life. Every year, the number of people who die of car accident increases stably. According to a study, a lot of people begin to forget how to write a letter or paper by hand because of the dependency of computer. For many students, who face difficult problems, the first thing that comes to their mind is to resort to others through Internet or to look for help to computer software. We should begin to learn how to control the use of technology.

Moreover, we ought to be aware of that unlimited development of some kinds of sciences may cause unimaginable disaster to our human being society. Global warming warns us that if no actions will be taken to constrain the advancement of modern technology, what we have to suffer will not be just simple as the increasing high temperature but our world's entire destruction. The concomitant damage to both environment and human brought by biochemical weapons will never be healed. The increasing maturity of artificial intelligence technology constantly remind me of such image that one day robotics take place of human in both factory and other important position. It is time for us to take action to constrain such kinds of scientific research.

To sum up, for those technologies that may violate our development, we should restrain its progress; for those technologies that may help us advance, we should accelerate its development but selectively take advantage of. Only by this way can we lead science to a positive direction which may assist us with the improvement of human society rather than destory our world.
