系统里面的内容如下:
Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that the members of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science admissions committee have recommended that you be admitted for graduate degree study at the University of California, Irvine beginning in the Fall 2011 academic term.
This is a very competitive application process, with over 1400 applicants this year, and less than 15% will be admitted. You should be proud of your academic accomplishments so far! We are proud of you, and we hope you choose to join us to continue your graduate studies.
Should you decide to accept this offer, you will be required to support yourself financially. Therefore, if you choose to accept (before you can be formally admitted), you will need to provide documents that show you have the finances to support yourself throughout your time at UC Irvine.
These documents are required in order for your visa to be processed by the US government. After providing these documents, you will receive a letter with your official offer of admission to the university.
Should you decide to accept this offer, please email your acceptance to ragran@uci.edu within two weeks of receiving this notice. If we do not hear from you by then, we will assume that you will be unable to attend in Fall 2011.
Appended below are detailed instructions for you to follow if you decide to accept our offer.
Once again, warm congratulations on a promising career! We hope to see you in the fall!
Sincerely,
Admissions Committee
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
University of California, Irvine
Detailed steps to follow if you accept our offer:
In order to obtain visa and I-20 documents to come to the United States, you will be required to show proof of financial support in the amount of $45,939 for the nine-month academic year beginning mid-September 2011. This number could be higher if you are being accompanied by family members. More details can be found at the UC Irvine International Center website linked below.
This estimate includes non-resident Tuition/Fees (3 quarters) of $29,939; and Room/Board, Books, Supplies, Transportation of $16,000. The financial verification documents you submit for this purpose should be recent, and must be valid for at least 6 months from the day they are received.
Additionally, to obtain an I-20 you must submit the I-20/DS-2019 Request for NEW Graduate Students, available online in the forms section of the UC Irvine International Center website at http://www.ic.uci.edu. Please carefully follow the instructions and return your completed paperwork to the Graduate Student Admissions Coordinator.
You should also plan to submit your financial proof from your bank at this same time. The proof required is a letter on bank letterhead stating that, as a customer of that bank, you have at least $45,939 to support yourself while studying at UC Irvine. Please note that the amount must be listed in US dollars. If your education will be supported by someone other than yourself, you will also need a letter from your sponsor(s) stating that they are willing to support you along with a letter from their banking institution verifying that they have the funds available (in US dollars).
If you would like your I-20 returned to you via express mail, please include an international money order, made payable to UC Regents, in the amount of $40 for the express mail service. This is the only opportunity you will have to make this request. If you do not choose this option, the International Center will send your I-20 via surface mail.
Please carefully follow the instructions listed above and return your completed paperwork to the Graduate Student Admissions Coordinator:
