I heard of the news that a new restaurant would soon be built in my neighborhood. Well, this is really a prevalent topic undergoing serious debate in our community. Many residents worry about traffic congestion it may cause and the safety of our neighborhood when various patrons be brought into our community. However, when asked about my opinion for having a new restaurant nearby, I hold a positive point of view toward this plan. I list my considerations as below.
In the first place, a newly built restaurant would provide people here another choice when they tend to have dinner outside. As there are dramatic increases in people's income, a growing number of people prefer to have dinner outside. Most of them are likely to choose some restaurant which is well decorated and provides comfortable surroundings so that they can totally relax themselves after a day-long work and have casual chat with their friends, family members and so on. In this case, the new restaurant will definitely offer fellows in our community a new alternative option to eat out. If fortunately this place turns to be a featured one, for example, catering to us with some exotic food, it will apparently become the landmark of this area. Therefore, a new restaurant signifies a refreshing new cuisine menu and possibly transforms this community.
Secondly, a new restaurant may benefit the local business. If the new restaurant is extremely welcomed, it obviously may attract other investment in this area. At that time, some other restaurants, retail stores may emerge here. These commercial activities will help build the
prosperity of our community. Furthermore, people living around may feel much more convenient and their demands for daily life can easily be satisfied just several minutes walk away from home.
Last but not least, a new restaurant and subsequently some other stores appear closely could also provide job opportunities for people who live here. The unemployment rate would decrease. People working in these stores will find their workplace is very adjacent to their home. They can make friends there and work together happily.
From what has been discussed above, I suppose it’s a wonderful idea to build a new restaurant in my neighborhood. Let’s put up our hands to welcome it.
