提纲: 定义effective education的含义
          过于关注个人需要会妨碍多数人的必要教育
          但是符合个人发展和提高的教育也必不可少

Education is a phrase that almost every one of us will experience when we are young, probably, even continuing through all one's life. Therefore, people have been striving to find a better and more effective way of education to meet the needs of different people, cultivate different kinds of human resources to improve our society and mould enough talents to make progress in different aspect of our life.

In this case, my experience and inclination has pushed me to consider education as a key element that will drive the human world ahead. That is to say, the designation to meet the individual needs and interests of each student should primarily contribute to this purpose, for which other ideas or changes must help to serve.

In the first place, we should discuss the definition of the word "effective" to clarify what kind of designation will be more possible to have real, positive and more substantial effects. The development of a society depends on the efforts of all kinds of people, no matter they are black or white, rich or pool, clever or blunt. For this universal point, education should aim at the methods that will lend full support to make most of the human beings capable of living independently and thus being helpful to the whole society. Only in that circumstance can a society enjoy consolidate enhancement. Such condition has made the point that education can be truly effective only by meeting the individual needs of each one quite partial and groundless because more students' requirements may be neglected if we pay too much attention to the personal and individual interests.

In the second place, we must look into the factors that why too much emphasize on individual needs and interests may have chances to conflict the common demands of the majority. First, the requirements of the students can be divided into majority and minority. For example, some students may intend to learn Math only just because they hate or have no feelings of the language course while the language ability should be a necessity for every child since it is a basic ability. In this case, the objective conditions and the common sense will make the choice for us to choose not to meet the individual needs because we have to concern all the others. Second, the students, who are usually kids or youngsters, are to be directed more rather than self-determined during most of the time and they always need instructions, more or less. Moreover, we must establish a pragmatic way and build a mutual system to instruct all the students, which will work as a syllabus for the practical function through which we can ensure that most of the students have been with a suitable, instructive and promising education. It is almost impossible if we persist in meeting all the individual needs and interests of every one in that it is usually well-reasoned on paper but can hardly work out in real life.

Nevertheless, the target to keep most of the students witnessing a effective and efficient education has no necessary relation with the statement that we should take care of the individual needs while we look after the majority. We all need talents and someone with special gifts in our society, which has determined that some measures like creating some selective courses or providing more time and convenience for the self-education period are extremely necessary, especially in our times. Furthermore, diversity is the spice of life. We should also prevent from neglecting the individual needs with solemn care for the majority because none of us may hope to see a world made up of same types of robots or being full of similar characters and skills. As a matter of fact, the human nature also demands the education to offer a wider space for everyone’s personal improvement.

In general, too much emphasize on meeting the individual needs and interests will impede the principle that education is first to serve for the majority, through which the world will carry on sustaining, however, the adjustment for giving more focus on individuals is also indispensable due to the fact that our society requires innovations and diversity. Within this consideration, I choose to be neutral in respect of this topic.
