Some people prefer to spend most of their time alone. Others like to be with friends most of the time. Do you prefer to spend your time alone or with friends? Use specific reasons to support your answer.
When it comes to the preference of whether spending most of the time with friends or alone, each person may come up with his own answer and reasons. People who assume spending most of the time alone hold that they feel more unrestricted when alone, whereas those who think differently maintain the benefits and enjoyment when they are with friends far outweigh its minor defects. I favor the latter.
Among the various reasons that help explain why spending most of the time with friends is better, the fact that one can gain personal improvement from it seems particular applicable. On the one hand, making friends with people who are different from us can make up for the shortcomings we have. It is universally acknowledged that we all have drawbacks, and the problem is that whether or not you would like to modify them. On the other hand, with friends who share similar personalities and interests, we can do a lot of things together, such as playing badminton, traveling, climbing mountains, etc, which brought about enormous pleasure and enjoyment for us. Gradually, our spiritual outlook will be a lot different: we will be more positive toward life, and establish a more healthy mechanism of dealing with obstacles and upsets.
Equally important is the priceless relation resources it builds. Everyone knows that in modern society, relation resources is one key factor in business and can bring tremendous profits, tangible and intangible. Consequently, it pays to develop good relationships with others in the long run. Besides, interacting with friends provides an excellent chance of developing interpersonal skills, which is crucial for future individual development. Through getting along with friends, one can gain personal qualities such as being tolerant, outspoken,
and honest, fundamental merits of building a harmonious relationship with others. Definitely, a person possessing such qualities will be more competetive in future stage.
Considerable though the merits of spending most of the time with friends are, we should not deny the virtues in spending most of the time alone. One can be free from comprising with others, and do everything according to his own's likes and dislikes. However, he will run into some time when others help is in dire need. And since friendship never builds up in one day, most likely he have to be handle the situation alone.
Taking into account all the discussion above, we safely come to the conclusion that spending most of the time with friends is a more advisable choice than being alone. All in all, we all can not avoid connections with others and that is the major trend in modern society.
