TVs and telephones have the same function-both of which are for information during the communication. The difference is that when you face a TV, you could be connected with large number of people even all the world, whereas you can contact one when using a telephone. But to give a conclusion whether TVs or telephones influence people's lives more, I have to say there is not a exact answer.

This is determined by how people see the facilities. TV plays an important role in daily lives, for it provides most live television news, for instance disasters, policies decided by governments, meetings, election results and wars etc. These makes you get the freshest news happen every day and relax yourself, offer your talk topics, even help you make a decision in your life. Besides, many other informations can be gained form other TV programs such as advertisements, science, cooking, education etc.

At the same time, telephones are used by people for connect another person. They call people related to them to develop a kind of affection or for other business. During the festivals, people call each other for greeting; facing up to difficulties, people asked for assistance by telephone. In commerce, telephones are widely used for people to obtain information.

So we can say all of us are benefit from both TV and telephone. Which is more influential depends on what you need. Yet they also do harm to us-many ways of saying a thing weaken our sense of judgement. For example, a judge may avoid to get any words on the case he appeals because he might being affected by what the news say about the case. Indulging in TV play of young man may result in their ignoring studying or having sports. So far as the disadvantages are concerned, telephones do less.

Nowadays curriculums covered with almost all the subjects are available in some colleges or universities. Those students majored in engineering or natural science subjects are expected to acquire knowledge of history, art, literature, philosophy etc., which can help the students better understand and communicate with each other. By contrast, I agree with that all students should be required to take basic science classes if they are not this major. There are several reasons.

Firstly, like the engineering students who take non-science classes, for those who take part in the science classes but not major in these, science makes them gain the knowledge how the universe forms, how the world runs, what's the substance composed this world and the mathematic or physical law behind them. Based on these, students could understand the world deeply and may impact their thinking ways and attitude of the world.

Next is that students may be not qualified on their speciality without some science knowledge. Take economic students as an example, most of the economic models are built by employing mathematic knowledge-by using differential eguations to set up the model and by the solution to predict the economic development subsequently. This illustrates the essentiality of science classes for the students even if they are not this major.

Students need to do a great deal of readings related or not related to their curriculum, they will be able to understand the book quickly while being with some science abilities. For a philosophy student, when he studies the view of origin of the world from ancient Greeks to latter—day Issac Newton or to modern，he may even have to read some books about principle of relativities referred to the shape of the universe.

So here comes the conclusion that it is better for a student to have view on science, no matters whether he majors in it.

Some people are fond of gaining information from global events, which mean the wars, calamities, political disputes etc. They take delight in talking about these affairs in public or private with their families or friends. Yet other people has no interest in the events for they hold the view that the events have nothing to do with their daily lives, this leads to a debate whether it is worthy for knowing the events happening around the world. For me, I am more willing to know the worldwide news. I will give some explanations.

Above all, for those who peruse news from newspapers, magazines or internet, universal events can benefit them -- enriching knowledge about the history or world and by broadening their horizons, even the events provides their chatting topics. Especially for the college students, they could analyze and explain the incidents by employing theories they learned from classes, consequently,  they could better understand the theories and deeply comprehend what happened. The financial crisis took place in 2008 gives material for economics students who try to make clear why the crisis happened and how to resolve it. Via thinking and seeking help from people or books, students advance themselves.

Another reason to be noted is that the happenings favor us discovering and settling problems. Take the 911 happened in 2001 as a striking example, the terrorists drove a flight crash on the World Trade Centre leading to death of thousands of people and enormous economic losses. After investigate the horrible tragedy, we come to realize why the terrorists, who are Muslims, commit such a crime. Through what we have suffered, we turn to pay attention to the culture diversities between different nations and we can better solve the conflicts to avoid the tragedy happening again. Hence the experience we acquire from the global events help we reflect on ourselves and emphasize others.

To sum up, the events occurring all over the world plays an essential role in our lives, for they are propitious to both an individual and humanity as a whole. We do really understand ourselves better through knowing the daily occurrence.

Modern society develops from kinds of political systems such as decmocracy of ancient Greek, which is not the exactly same as today; monarchy of ancient China or many other eastern countries. Since maybe it is the best political system for this world, democracy strikes root in the hearts of the people. At the same time, other significant aspects of civilization--economics, technology, education, etc., with the politics gets well promoted while they interact on each other. Nowadays the society has become more complex than ever before. A serious problem for modern people is how to develop themselves to live in this world better, especially for young people, they are required have the ability to plan and organize.

During the long process of a man's life, studying in school and working in enterprises are two important stages. When being a child, he/she is educated not only for gaining knowledge but aslo developing a kind of abilities such as plan and organizational skills for they are helpful to a man's whole life. As far as the college is concerned, students have to finished their courses to earn the degree. It is necessary to make a good plan for a student when he/she needs to take lots of classes to get through the academic career. The details include what curriculums should be taken and how to learn them well. Joining the campus societies is also crucial for students, who manage to make the group to be vibrant when they are leaders of these societies.

Not speak of the occupational lives, the situation is more complicated. Take the project manager as a example, when a massive project is to be accomplished, the manager must work out a detail plan on the expenditures, assignment, schedule and even the logistics. Organizational capabilities of the leader can be well showed when the plan is carried out. Whether the project is successfully finished is critical to a leader who would not promote or would be dismissed. So we can say the plan and organization abilities could be acquired and advanced through people's studies, jobs and other activities.

To sum up, when we face the complex society in this world, we can take it more easy with the competences on how to deal with the problems. They do favors for our daily lives and business related other people.

Children are expected to have brilliant prospects, this lead to so many things being learned by children--kinds of science, literature and art courses, musical instruments and sports skills. However, some people argue against the heavy burden given to the children since these may do harms to them. One of the debates focuses on that children should study play, or they should help with household chores, and I believe both two are essential to the children.

Human are born with ignorant status, they need to acquire abilities about speaking, communicating with others, realizing themselves and knowledge about the world and humankind. After they enter schools, what they study is connected with whether they could receive admissions from famous colleges or universities, whether they could get higher paid jobs in their future. For example, pupils in China sometimes are busier in vocation than semester time, for they are send to learn the things I mentioned at begin of the essay.

Although play is the nature of a child, he/she is allowed to amuse himself/herself in fixed time. Via playing balls or chess, children can not only release themselves from the heavy study tasks, but also advance the physical strength and the intelligence. Some people may conclude here that study and play is enough for children.

While other argue that children should help to do some housework. Actually, the housework could benefit the children a lot. During the process of helping cooking, children could know series of vegetables, fruits, meats and flavorings. At the same time, they may search new ways for cooking and from which can relax themselves and stimulate their creating more new things. In fact, when people are in adulthood, they have to do many household chores for their families or others, so it is crucial for them learning how to do housework when they were young.

From all above, I can say study, play and doing household chores are playing important roles during the growth of children.

Historically, the commodities such as teas, chinas, silks, flavors and so on traded between eastern and western via Arabic countries performed an important role of human civilization. Not only had the trades promoted the cultural and economical exchanges but also stimulated the adventurers to search for new markets which eventually lead to the discovery of New Continent. Nowadays one characteristics of globalization is freely trading between nations cosmically whereas sometimes Trading Protectionism is gaining ground, some people even say that people should buy things made in their own country even the price is higher than same things made somewhere else. I strongly oppose this viewpoint for several reasons.

Let’s take account of the domestic purchasing firstly. Korea is a good example for against those who advocate this point of view. Some of the agricultural products in Korea are so expensive, even the price of apple may be more than 2.5 dollars per kilogram and at same time Korean government imposes heavy tax on the importing fruits which are cheaper, that the Koreans have to buy less fruits because of the protection of agriculture of their country. If people are told and forced to buy goods produced by their nation, I think it is not fair for the poor since they can’t afford the high price. In other circumstance, being lack of raw materials or corresponding technique, some of goods can not be made by a country, it is unbelievable that this country still don’t buy these things which may be vital for it. Series of mines are important raw materials for China’s industry; some of them in hard rocks and in remote areas which must be excavated in abominable weather, excavating machinery made by home could not withstand the terrible working environments but those produced by Japan or German, which are costly, are competent. Admittedly, buying foreign goods is reasonable for us.

Next, the so-called patriotism calls for buying home things is unfavorable for international trades which will harm us eventually. Through trades between nations, resources are distributed evenly all over the world: oils from Middle East or North Europe exchange dollars for their necessities. The less developed countries could improve their technical level by introducing into the advanced products. Thus, ceasing of trades hinders the circulation of economics and restricts the trades, leads to our civilization stay in a low stage.

To sum up, we all rely on the global trade, and it will deepen and broaden as the developing of economy.

Teacher, named as the engineer of human soul, is one of the noblest careers in the world. Students who are best perform and are with great achievement can bring lofty reputation to their teacher. This owns to teacher's delivering knowledge, helping develop good personality and giving much assistance to the students. Teachers are usually be paid for teaching or educating students, some of who get higher grade for the help from their teacher. Consequently, some people are grateful for the teacher's working, and they state that teachers should be paid according to how well their performing. But I don't think it is a good idea for both the teacher and the student.

Above all, it is the regular duty for a teacher to well educate the students. Just like the soldiers sometimes have to devote their life for defending their nation in battles. People are paid in jobs for paying out their energies and intelligence to finish the tasks. Whiles some are well paid for a good job. However, if teachers are paid based on how well the students do, consequently some bad things would come forth. Teachers may be inclined to those outstanding students, whom will perform better than those not so good, thus they will bring their teachers higher income. At the same time, the common students and less smart students may be ignored or not well taught and this is tragically for a nation’s juvenile. Thus, partial to outstanding students of teachers is not fair to other students.

Another significant factor is all the students should be treated equally but partial to outstanding students of teachers breach this principle. Some students are disabled on some subjects, just so they should be paid more attention and given more assistance to help them develop to a more advanced understanding of knowledge. Yet some geniuses are not taught by teachers who are higher paid. Johann Carl Friedrich Gauss, well known as German mathematician and scientist who contributed significantly to many fields, is taught by his mother and uncle. All these illustrate that no matters students are smart, or teachers are well paid, the goal of education is to develop potentialities of human by the greatest extent and found perfection of personality of a man.

In the end, we can say that achieve our respect to teachers is not paying them higher according the student’s performing, but relies on the nobility of the career as a teacher.

We can say that we now have stepped into information society. Our daily life mostly depend on datas transfer on Internet, by which we finish our works, shopping, browse news etc., they are all done on the website. Governments spare no effort to the construction of network to edge their nation into advanced IT counties. By contrast, the public transportations, which play an important role in history and nowadays, are obviously becoming less important and many people believe that more money should be placed on accessing Internet rather than public transportation. We should pay attention to several aspects while solve this problem.

For those developed countries, the public transportation systems are well-found and advanced. Under this circumstance, money could be spent on maintaining the transportations, if not, it is a waste of money and resources because most of the cities are well-equipped. U.S. is in possession of the longest highway of the world—88,000 kilometers, is adequate for Americans. Thus, more money are invested in the attempt to network construction, which turns U.S. into an information society of which the economy is attached to business based on Internet. Many millionaires operate IT or referred industry enterprises, such as Sergey Brin, one of the owners of Google, one of the richest man in America, created an economic empire by the web.

However, the undeveloped or developing countries, who are not wealthy enough to provide sufficient public transportation to their citizens. A suitable way for them is to put the money into public facilities and other welfares. China is one of the biggest developing countries in the world, some remote areas are sorely lack of roads for local inhabitants, who may take hours of walking to cities. Especially for those kids, they have to make long trips to schools. Thus, government official should make a policy to balance the investing proportion between accessing Internet or public transportation.

As already stated, I am convinced that inclination to Internet or public facilities relies on the economic condition of the country. For less developed countries, solve the urgent problem benefit their civilizations.
