These three words are not so confusing, but the way they are built is interesting.
Sequence is a noun which means "order".
Con- is a prefix meaning “with,” “together,” “in association.” Consequent, as a result of all these previous procedures coincide.
Sub- is a prefix with the meaning “under,” “below,” “beneath”. Subsequent, the "understep", the next step

英语和中文不一样。中文的构词方式是组合式的，基本上只要熟记了那么一把字，词啊熟语啊凭理解力背就可以了。英语则是每个意思都有专门的一个甚至好几个单词来表示，想要达到一定的语言水平要记的单词量比同水平的中文大师要多不知道多少倍。个人窃以为这就是中文比英文更具美感的原因，我们不需要花太多年的精力记那么多生词，在同年龄的英语语言文人还在言辞的方向上挣扎的时候，我们早已经能够将语言使用得融会贯通，并开始深层发展，——导致中国文人的平均终生成就高，也导致中国文化界的综合成就高。虽然中国文艺还没有被国际普遍推崇，但多看看国际文化精英的言论就知道，这只是迟早的事。

——走题走到天边去了。继续。英文的单词量过大，我们刚刚学习的时候因为词汇量小可能没什么，学到一定程度了因为太熟练也没什么，麻烦的就是中间那个时段。英文学的半生不熟，一边学一边不知不觉的忘。——莫说拼写相近的单词了，就是常用的单词，有时学得头晕脑胀的时候也会暂时忘记怎么写。那些看起来相似的单词给你列出表来的时候并不觉得，等想用的时候就犯难了。或者更可怕：自己用错了还不自知，得意洋洋，等功课批下来才傻眼。我自己也在此方面深有体会，否则不会下这么大工夫整理这些。

学习最忌心浮气躁，就算再微小的知识点也不应该放过。及时总结回顾是战无不胜的利器，一步一步脚踏实地才是求学之道。
