MW里对unctuous有条解释是insincerely smooth in speech and manner, 就是表面看上去很同意但其实不同意，跟appear  acquiescent对应得很好。而loath表示反义，对应far from。

我怎么感觉这个unctuous不是和acquiesce相对啊，一个是虚情假意，一个是默许，并不构成反义哈
我倒是觉得unctuous和loath构成反义哈，一个是ingratiating earnestness，一个是unwilling to do sth contrary to his way of thinking
也是就是说一个是明知有悖于他自己的真实想法，为了讨好还是虚情假意的去表现得很认真，很当回事的样子；一个是当有悖于自己的想法的时候，就直接拒掉


不知道这样子解释是否可以？不是很肯定，呵呵

loath和reluctant 在这里都可以表示转折，concerned, eager, willing都没有转折，那么如果是A和Ｂ，第一个空应该和acquiescent的意思类似，如果C D E正确，则第一个空意思应该和acquiescent相反
比较一下，只能选A

从意思上来说，unctuous和acquiescent有相关的意思，前者是油腔滑调，就是不明确表示反对，后者是顺从
整个句子的意思是：Pat根本就不是那种油腔滑调的人，他从不违背自己的意愿而显得顺从。

后面的narrow提示第二个空不可能是broaden等表示扩大的词，这样就只剩下diminish和limited
前面说的定量方法和后面的定量一致，所以第一个空不会表示转折，这样就确定了答案。
