ARGUMENT134
"New writers usually cannot convince large, prestigious publishers that their work is marketable, so they must first publish with smaller, less well-known presses to establish a sales record. But the editors of Mystery Writers Magazine have good news for aspiring writers: the number of mystery novels published in the last two years has grown significantly, and more people read mysteries than any other type of novel. In addition, almost half of the mystery novels published last year were written by first-time novel writers. Since there is apparently an expanding market for mystery novels, all publishers will want to increase the number of mystery novels they publish. Therefore, new writers should write mystery novels to increase their chances for first-time publication with a larger, prestigious company."

Grounding on a good news of Mystery Writers Magazine, supposing that almost half of the mystery novels published last year were written by first-time novel writers, and then synthesizing the two hypothesizes and anthor factor that there is apparently an expanding market for mystery novels.  The author's suggest that new writers should write mystery novels to increase their chances for first-time publication with a larger, prestigious company seems logical.

However, the author are failing to consider other possible alternatives to the conclusion that it is the new writer that should write mystery novels.  Perhaps  there is a easier access for the new writer to publish mystery novels than any other type of novel, it is possible that there is a lower critia for the writer not only allow some mistakes in his using language but also do not concern too much about his grammar in a smaller, less well-known presses.  In addition, it is truely the fact that most of people manifest little interest in novels except mystery ones, on the contrary, these mystery novels might be play a indispenable role in people's daily life, for example, people might feel better after reading a relax and funny story such as a mystery novel under a pressure of a whole day's working or study.  Has a 200,000 words' history novel also function?

The number of mystery novels published in the last two years' grown is also not a particularly convinced time frame for the author to conclude that therefore  today.  If there is always a type of mystery novel in magzines, we will find ourseleves are tired to it after several months.  Even if recent years' grown still significantly, it is no assurance that there are still half of the mystery novels published were written by first-time novel writers, it is possible that these new writers, due to their lack of experience, could only published one or two more amazing novels year after year.  Even if those two typothesizes dicussed above are no more than the tures, the author also have failed to consider that although there is apparently an expanding market for mystery novels and all publishers will want to increase the number of mystery novels they publish, Is that a easy case for these thousands of new writers to publish each of their own mystery novel without an exception?  Again, there is also no chance to a author whose novel has a poor language level and lots of fault in grammar but subsequently a mount of mystery novels have been published.

Overall, the argument that new writers should write mystery novels might be the fact at the first glance.  However, before any desicions are made for the news,  the author should evalutat all the alternatives and causes to increase new writers' chances for first-time publication with a larger, prestigious company.
