There is an old saying that "Human's life is all about finding problems and solving problems." We face kinds of problems every day. While we might have the same problem at different time, we usually find problem we face keep varying(三段出来了3we,可以适当变化下句型嘛). Is it necessary for us to understand the past if we want to solve the present problems and future ones? Different people will hold different answers due to their different experience and conflicting values. My answer to the question above is "Yes"(怎么都喜欢用yes, no呢,作文最好不要用口语词).

First of all, understanding the past will help us to avoid the mistakes that we made before when we solve the new problem. Just as mentioned above, sometimes we have to deal with the problems that happen again and again. We might not have experience dealing with them. But perhaps someone else has. We can make better decision if we understand such knowledge(句子还是不错的,但还是那个问题,通篇的we). For example, when a climber plans to climb a mountain which he has never climbed, he will find the records of other climbers who have climbed that mountain. From the record, he can find what kind of mistakes his precursors made and bypass them.

例子不错,注意变化句型

Additionally, not only does understanding the past help us to avoid mistakes, but it also help(s) us to solve problems more efficiently. Facing a problem that others have solved before, we do not necessarily to find our own answer. We can borrow ideas from others. It will save(save做节省跟的宾语应该是节省的对象吧) us a lot of time and we can also modify those ideas according to our circumstance. For instance(For example,换一个短语), as a software programmer, I have to solve many software errors every day. Some of them are new to me, nevertheless, someone else might has already (been) found the solution. I will find whether other people have the solution through Internet. If the result is positive, I can solve the problem immediately.

Thought(Though) understanding the past might constrain out mind from being creative, in most cases it is the more efficient way to the answer. Researches indicate that most problems we face every day are simple and repeated. The best way for us to tackle these problems is to look back and find the old answer, although at times we have to somehow modify the old one according to the new environment.

这段和上段重复了

To sum up, this issue is so controversial that people might not arrive at an agreement at all. Nonetheless, based on the analysis above, people do not have to go so far to reach that it is necessary to understand the past if we want to solve the present and future problems.

思路挺好的,就是注意句型变换

at least study for 11 months per year.

Just as we all know, the most important task of a student is study. Only as a student can a person completely concentrate on study. How long should a student study per year? The question is so controversial that different people will have different answers due to their varied background and conflicting values. Researches have indicated that Asian students usually study longer than their western counterparts. From my point of view, students should have enough time to relax, about 3 months, and inappropriate study time will impose negative influence on them.

Like every other people, students need both mentally and physically relax after long time hard working. If they do not have enough rest, the incessant study will do harm to they health. Not like workers, students need to study new things nearly every second. It means that their brains have to work fullloadingly to achieve knowledge all the time. Although students are young and energetic, they can not stand that great pressure for such a long time. A research of Asian students has shown that some students have got mental or physical disease because excessive study.

Moreover, only long time study can not necessarily ensure that students will perform better. The study time is only one factor that will affect students' study. There are other more important factors as well. In my opinion, the key to any successful student is how to study efficiently. If a student can learn something that other students have to learn for 10 hours in a hour, why should he spend 10 hours? For example, Ken, one of my best friends, is very smart and he can always understand what the teacher say in a short time. He only spends much less time than other student. But he is always the best student in my class. Another friend of mine, Lucy, always spends long time studying-more than 10 hours every day. But her performance is still mediocre.

To sum up, it is likely that people will never arrive at an agreement for this controversial issue. Nevertheless, based on my analysis above, it is not difficult for people to conclude that it is not necessary and inefficient to ask students to study 11 months per year.

Government should pay more attention on health care issues than on environmental issues

The government fund is also limited and it always plans its budget carefully. Both health care issues and environmental issues are very important to any government. However, should the government put more attention on health care issues than on environmental issues? This question is so contorversial that different people will have different answers due to their varied background and conflicting values. In my opinion, the environment issues are so important that any government should put regard them as high priority.

There is no deny that environment issues are always so important that the consequence will be very serious if they are ignored. Environment problems impose influence to nearly everyone because we all live in the environment and no one can escape. Moreover, most damage to the nature is irreversible. For example, because of the carbonhydrate released by human activity into the air, the temperature is increasing year by year. The direct result of global warming is the melt of ice in the two poles of earth. The natural balanced is damaged and the people living in the lower place are endangered.

Unlike other issues, the environment issues are usually so complex that only government can handle them. Evrionement issues, such as air pollution and global warming, are caused by complicated factors. Seldom can individual person or corporations to deal with them. Only the government has such power. For instance, most developed countries in the world cooperate to solve the problem of global warming because it is impossible for any individual nation to work-even the most developed country such as America.

I have to admit that health care issues are also very important. However, compared with environment issues, they have lower priority. Part people will be influenced by them and at most condition they can be solved by other power rather than the government, such as insurance companies.

To sum up, people might never arrive at an agreement on such a controversial issue. Both sides have their supporters. Nevertheless, based on the analysis above, people do not need to go so far to conclude that government should put environment issues on a high position.

10.12 do you agree or disagree
getting university education is the most important factor for success.

No matter when and where they live, human beings always regard education as a very crucial factor for success. Today, more and more people go to university. As the proportion of people who have at least bachelor degree keeps increasing, some people raise their question. Is getting university education the most important factor for success? This question is so controversial that different people will hold different answers due to their different background and conflicting values. In my opinion, although university education is very significant, the most important factor is career plan.

Different people have various definition of success while there are kinds of approaches. In narrow definition, successful people should be rich or have a great reputation. I have to admit that people who have gotten university education usually earn more money than others, there are some exceptions. The most famous example is Bill Gates-the richest man in the world. He dropped out from Harvad university, which is one of the best universities in the world, but no one will be dubious about his decision.
He found the right road leading to success while people do not need to find it in university.

Moreover, today, people do not have to go to university to accept high education. We have more choice now. As Information Technology develops, we can find anything we are interesting in the world. The electrical communication tools, such as e-mail or msn, make it easier for people to communicate with each other-even someone you do not know before. For instance, one person who is interested in software engineering, he can buy some books to learn by himself. He can find most answer from the Internet when he has questions. If he can not find answer by himself, he can sent an e-mail to someone, such as a professor or an expertiser to get an answer.

Actually, career plan is a much more important factor. In China, more and more undergraduates can not find a good job because of the lack of career plan. In contrast, many professional students can find a better position. Not all work needs university education. Taking a university education might be a waste of time for people who are interested in such work. There are kinds of career that can lead to success. Nevertheless, not all the plan should include university education.

To sum up, people might not be able to arrive at an agreement in such a controversial question. However, taking into account all factors, people do not have to go very far to see that getting university education is not the most important factor for success.

10.13 The parents do not understand their children as well today as parents understood their children 50 years ago

People are so complex that seldom can one completely understand others. However, as the first and most important teachers of children, parents always have to understand their children well to bring them up. The responsibility of parents remains the same while the environment is keep changing. Do the parents understand their children as well today as parents understood their children 50 years ago? This question is so controversial that different people will have different answers due to their different background and conflicting values. In my opinion, today parents do not understand their children as well as they did 50 years ago.

Most children regarded their parents as model 50 years ago and liked to communicate with parents. 50 years ago, children spent most of their time with their parents and thus they trust their parent most. If they had some problems, they were most likely to talk to their parents for some help, because in most condition parents are the only source of help. Thus parents could know well what the children were worrying about. 50 years ago, children had few connection to the world that they usually learnt the world from parents.

Now,the development of technology changes everything. Through Internet, children can talk to nearly anyone and find anything they like. Today, the communication between children and their parents is diminishing. Children even want to talk to someone they met in Internet about their trouble rather than to have a brief talk with their parents. They can find anything in the Internet so that they do not have to turn to parents for help. The pressure of job makes the whole thing deteriotate. Parents are usually so busy that they have little time to care about their children. Children do not like to parents while parents have little time to talk to them. The understand of children is fading as the interaction reduces.

Moreover, children today are more influenced by other factors rather than parents. They have more knowledge and are more likely to treat themselves as adults who have their own privacy that can not be known by their parents. They are more eager for independence and do not like the interfere from parents. Parents' influence on children is contracting while parents also find that they can not understand their children.

To sum up, it is most likely that people will never arrive at an agreement over such a complicated question. Nevertheless, taking into account all the factors, people do not have to go very far to see that parents do not understand their children as well as today as they understood their children 50 years ago.

Most children regarded their parents as model 50 years ago and liked to communicate with parents. 50 years ago, children spent most of their time with their parents and thus they trust their parent most. If they had some problems, they were most likely to talk to their parents for some help, because in most condition parents are the only source of help. Nevertheless, taking into account all the factors, people do not have to go very far to see that parents do not understand their children as well as today as they understood their children 50 years ago.

Like doctors or business leaders, teachers have high status in the society. In China, people usually regard their teachers as father. However, the payment of teachers are usually much lower than that of doctors and business leaders. Some suggests that teacher should earn as much money as doctors or business leaders do while others claim that the payment rightly represent teachers' value. In my opinion, teachers should have the same payment level as that of doctors and business leaders.

No one can deny that teacher is one of the most important career in the world. Teachers teach us how to write and how to read. Although someone can learn knowledge from families, most people have to go to school to receive education. Without teachers, the society will teem with illiterate people and the world will set back. In addition to knowledge, morale and ethics are another significant things that we learn from teachers. They tell students how to distinguish right from wrong and what they say might influence students for a whole life because sometimes students even trust teachers more than parents.

In the sharp contrast to the importance of teachers, most of them do not receive the money they deserve. The income of most teachers, especially those in elementary school, is only half less than that of contemprory doctors. As the income gap enlarges, some teachers leave for other jobs which have better payment while some others shift their concentration from education to other things. Just as mentioned above, what teachers do will finally influence their students. The leaving of good teachers and the irresponsibility of some remained teachers change the impression of teachers in students' mind. More and more students do not respect their teachers and the morale of students is deteriorating.

The key to this problem is the payment. Teachers are normal people that have to raise their own families. They are not less significant then doctor or business leaders. Will doctors still be there if there are not teachers any more? It is possible that normal schools can not afford high salary of teachers, but it is the responsibility of government that make sure all kids will receive appropriate education. Government can establish a fund to support schools and experience of some developed countries has proved that it works.

To sum up, this issue is so controversial that people might never be able to arrive at an agreement. Nevertheless, taking into account all factors, people do not have to go very far to see that teachers deserve the same payment as that of doctors or business leaders.

10.16 years from now, people will have more leisure time

As the development of technology, human beings now save a lot of time from doing housework such as cooking and cloth washing. In the workplace, the existence of information technology also help us to increase our productivity. So will people have more time from now than before? Although the answers seems to be clear, people can not arrive at an agreement due to their different background and conflicting valuse. In my opinion, people will not have more leisure time.

The main reason of my conclusion is that though people save a lot of time in some fields such as housework or documentation process, they have far more work now than before. The problem we facing now is growing more and more complex while the competition is becoming more and more fierce because of the development of technology. Today, a middle company can take complete a project that only could be operated by those giant companies such as IBM. In order to win the edge, people have to work harder and longer. For example, the average work time of modern software programmer is half more than that of a software programmer 20 years ago. The increase of work squeezes people's leisure time.

Furthermore, just as the competition drive people to harder, so does the competition force people to make use of any second of their time. In the modern society, everyone worries about losing his job. People are afraid of being replaced by someone else. Besides working hard in the work place, they have to learn the latest knowledge to update their brain. Seldom can I find people cozily enjoy their leisure time around me. Tom, one of my best friend who is a department manager in a big company, spends spare time in a MBA course, although he usually work 12 hours a day. Like Tom, people all over the world exploit every second of their time to keep competent.

Although some inventions have brought us a lot of convenience, we still have to learn how to use them. Moreover, the increase of the complexity of the operation of these machines makes us to spend more time in using them. Some researches have indicated that the whole time housewives used in housework seldom reduces comparing to 20 years ago.

To sum up, the convenience brought by new technology convinced some one that people from now will have more leisure time, however, taking into account all factors, people do not have to go very far to see that hardly will people have more leisuretime from now.

10.16 years from now, people will have more leisure time

As the development of technology, human beings now save a lot of time from doing housework such as cooking and cloth(\) washing. In the workplace, the existence of information technology also help us to increase our productivity. So will people have more time from now than before? Although the answers seems to be clear, people can not arrive at an agreement due to their different background and conflicting valuse(手误了吧). In my opinion, people will not have more leisure time.不同的北京和利益冲突

The main reason of my conclusion is that though people save a lot of time in some fields such as housework or documentation process, they have far more work now (to do)than before. The problem we facing now is growing more and more complex while the competition is becoming more and more fierce because of the development of technology. Today, a middle company can take complete a project that only could be operated by those giant companies such as IBM.表达不太对吧 In order to win the edge, people have to work harder and longer. For example, the average work time of modern software programmer is (是不是加个a)half more than that of a software programmer 20 years ago. The increase of work squeezes people's leisure time

Furthermore, just as the competition drive people to harder, so does the competition force people to make use of any second of their time. In the modern society, everyone worries about losing his job. People are afraid of being replaced by someone else. Besides working hard in the work place, they have to learn the latest knowledge to update their brain(skill是不是好些). Seldom can I find这个颜色的你不用理会了,是我觉得写的不错的 people cozily enjoy their leisure time around me.

Moreover此处应该算是个举例,不算是递进吧, the increase of the complexity of the operation of these machines makes us to spend more time in using them.

To truly understand world event, we should get our news from newspaper; television cannot provide enough information.

As the development of technology, today people can achieve news from various media, such as newspaper or television. Unlike newspaper, which uses a lot of proportion to talk about world event, news is not the concentration of most television channel. News related programs only take a little part of all the television programs. Can we say that we should get our news from news paper if we want to truly understand world event? This question is so controversial that different people hold different answers due to their different background and conflicting values. However, in my opinion, we can learn more about world event from television than from newspaper.

First of all, unlike the news in newspaper, that in television is more impressive and more easily to understand. Because the limitation of newspaper, people can not watch but read it. What make it worse is that it usually costs editors a lot of space to describe something that people are not familiar with while the total space of newspaper is limited. Thus sometimes people will complaint that newspaper is difficult to understand. On the other hand, television does not have this problem. People can see what happened by their own eyes. For example, people will have little image of assembly line when they know it from news paper. However, if they see a real assembly line in television, few people will forget it.

Furthermore, people usually watch the latest on television , just because it takes newspaper a lot of time to be published. Editors often need half a day to complete a whole newspaper while it only takes their counterparts less than an hour to finish a television news. We can watch what happened an hour before the air of the television news program. But if we want to find the same news from newspaper, we have to wait until tomorrow. What is more, we can know what is happening now from television while newspaper can only tell us what has happened.

Finally, the advent of special news channel gives those who like news a good alternative of newspaper. There television news channels in nearly every country, such as Fox News. These channels focus on what happen all over the world. People can get everything they want from them. Nevertheless, if someone wants to know all world news, he might have to buy piles of newspaper. In the contrast, a television is enough if he turns to those news channels. This advantage attracts many readers of newspaper. For instance, many people who had the habit of reading newspaper in the road to work now choose to watch the morning news instead.

To sum up, as more advanced media, television has many advantages over newspaper. Taking into account all the factors, people do not have to go very far to see that television is the better choice if we want to truly understand world event.
