With time passing by, increasing number of advanced technology appears which can contribute to saving a lot of time for people to cooking, thus Someone believes that people will spend less time in cooking food and preparing food 20 years later .However, in my opinion, I don’t agree this statement. I think people will spend more time in cooking and paring food as the expanding spare time modern people have and more attention on health.



To begin up, modern people will have more leisure time than before which can provide them with time to cook and prepare food. With the development of technology, modern people have more and more efficient and advanced working tools such as emails and telephones. For instance, 20 years ago, we had to mail letters to interexchange information with other people which would cost us almost one week while nowadays we have the internet to help us to send mails in just seconds. So in 20 years later, I am pretty sure that we will have some more efficient working tools. That is to say, we will more and more spare time than before in the future owing to the advanced technology which will offer a condition for people to cook and prepare food.



Furthermore, with a condition that modern people will have more spare time in the future, people draw expanding attention to health which will motivate people to spend more time in preparing food at home. The age we are in is not that we just think about whether we have enough food or not but that we have more consciousness about our quality of life. Absolutely, the quality of food is an essential factor in it. The information provided by the media can be a good example.
Magazines and websites are always full of information about how to be healthier such as teaching people how to choose different kinds of food in different seasons in order to keep a more balance diet. Clearly, food in the restaurant has more salt, oil and even they cannot wash vegetables and meat clean which will obviously have a bad influence on our health. In addition, the diet in restaurant is also not balanced which contains pretty much meat but less vegetable and fruit. As a result, if people can have dinner at home, these problem can be avoided .Moreover, family love becomes more and more indifferent around us in modern society, therefore having a delicious dinner at home with getting every family members together is truly a good method to enhance family love.

To sum up, the increasing leisure time and consciousness of health will urge modern people in 20 years later to spend more time in cooking and preparing food by themselves. Moreover, it will also be a positive way to enhance the family love around people

When it comes to the 21st century, it is the age that modern people don’t have to think about whether they can have enough food or not. Owing to the level of living standard, more and more people draw attention to how to be happy. In contrast, in my opinion I think this statement is too unilateral. The reasons are as follows

To begin up, as far as I concerned, being happy has nothing to do with whether you are rich or whether you don’t have to work. It is related to that whether people can make efforts to fulfill their dreams, and then if they make it .Obviously, being wealthy will provide some more advantages, but it is not a necessary condition. The life of Yuanlongping is a good example to demonstrate this. He is a very famous scientist around the world who only focuses on the research of rice. In order to create a new kind of rice, he just worked as a farmer for almost 20 years. At that time, he was not rich and clear was tired every day. Finally, he got the top award in china .Moreover; someone also names him a man who ends up the hunger. When he realizes his dream, we all can see the smile on his face. He doesn’t care about whether his is rich or not. Every day is meaningful for him as it is the contribution he made to fulfill his dream.

Furthermore, happiness is connected with someone’s dream, then, if someone’s dream is just living a luxury life without working, they will be very happy. These people can be easily found around the world who have rich fathers. Those people spend money which is not earned by themselves on meaningless things. It is very common to find this news in the newspaper. For example, the other day, a news reported that a student who drived a very expensive car which will cost several millions RMB to school. Also he hurt someone in the road after he drunk. From this report, I can see that he thinks that he is very happy because that just the life he wants which is just full of enjoyment without paying.

To sum up, happiness is related to someone’s dream. As everyone has their own definition of dream, the level which is to judge what is happiness will be different according to different people. As a result, when someone thinks the person who is rich and don’t have to work is not happy, maybe the person just believes that he is happy

10.22 The parents do not understand their children as well today as parents understood their children 50 years ago


As children is the future of our world, the changes of relationship between parents and attract people’s attention. Generation gap is a popular topic in society. Someone argues that parents do not understand their children as well today as parents understood their children 50 years ago. In my opinion, I agree with statement. Reasons are as follows.

To begin up ,parents now don’t have enough time  as much as 50 years ago to communicate with their children .due to development of society and increasing number of population ,the competition among modern people becomes fiercer and the pace of modern life becomes faster. As a result, parents are always busy in balancing the relationship between working and family which will cost them a lot of time. What is worse, during the economic recession, parents should spend more time on working or even studying something new in order to keep their position in society. So the time which they should used to exchange information with their children has been decreased. In addition, the changes of the family structure also play a key role in this phenomenon. in the past, fathers should work outside the family and be regarded as the pillar of the economy in this family with mothers staying at home to take care of the whole family which is a tradition in our mind. In contrast, nowadays, this family structure changes. Expanding number of double-income family appears which means both mothers and fathers need to work to support their family. The new family structure obviously reduce the time which parents can be together with their children as in the past, children could talk to their mothers at least.

Furthermore, children don’t have the desire to communicate with their parents as they have different value principles from their parents. Due to the development of technology, children can be influenced by more media such as internet and magazines than before, therefore, they can obtain more information about the world which contributes to developing their value principle .however, some of parents cannot alter their mind with the change of age, attributing to not be familiar with advanced equipments such as computer. As a result, parents and children may have different value principles. When this happens, children don’t have talk to their parents any more since their parents always disagree with their opinion and make negative comments on their actions.

To sum up, due to less time that parents can exchange information with their children and less desire that children want to talk to their parents, the parents do not understand their children as well today as parents understood their children 50 years ago.

When it comes to (the) 21st century, (an) expanding number of advanced transportations and entertainment facilities appears, due to the development of society. Some people pay more attention to leisure time that modern people have. and some of them believe that years from now on, people will have more and more leisure time as they can work more effectively and enjoy a better life depending on advanced matericals. As far as I （am）concerned, think（think 去掉，重复了） this statement is too positive. In addition I think people will have less leisure time with time passing by. Reasons are as follows.



To begin with, competition will make people have less leisure time. It is universal that   the number of population is increasing all the time owing to the development of technology and medicine care ,therefore   competition  becomes severely fierce .without choice (有点中式英语的感觉啊),modern people should spend more time on working or related issues（Nothing but spending more time on working or related issues could modern people do……） in order to keep their positions in society, so their leisure time will be dropped down. For instance, increasing number of accountants spend their leisure time in(on) sitting in exams in order to get a valuable certificate. Because there are so many people who are studying accounting, only one thing that can make you stand out is a valuable certificate.(有点绝对吧) In order to obtain this, accountants have to scarify(sacrafice) their leisure time such as weekends and nights to preparing exams such as CPA or ACCA.


Furthermore, there are so many things we cannot predict, therefore, many people make preparations for the further(future) which also decrease(ocupy) their leisure time. For example, during the economical recession in 2008, many companies bankrupted or lay(laid) off many employees. Obviously，the leader of the company will take the employee’s diligence, certificate and achievements into consideration. Employees who have those features will not be replaced(fired). However, think about why(how) can they have(achieve,own) these features?(只有祈使句动词原形才可以做主语啊。) Someone said that no pains, no gains. It is certainly(certain) that employees like them will put their heart into their working , which astutely（absolutely?） cost their much more leisure time. That is to say, what they did besides their normal working hours helps them to keep their positions in company. More and more people have this consciousness now, they(who) are willing to sacrifice their leisure time to make preparation for the further (?)unpredictable events.* n# i) h2 P( U/

To sum up, in my opinion, I believe that due to the increasingly(increasing 就行，用副词就修饰fierce 了) fierce competition and more preparations for the further（future）, modern people need to sacrifice their leisure time to avoid to be replaced.



总结：小的语法错误和拼写错误比较多，貌似的future全部拼成further了。部分用词不够准确。论证部分，两个观点并没有很明显的区别，感觉都在说一个事：竞争激烈，考证，占用空闲时间，不被淘汰。在论证过程中也觉得不够细致。一个意思绕来绕去的说。
