In the lecture,the speaker mainly argues that the theory of a giant impact about the Moon formand he totally disagrees with the points made in the reading passage. Detailsexplanation to support his views is as follows.

First andforemost, the speaker casts doubt on the idea of trace of a giant impactbetween Mars and Earth made in the writing passage. He thinks that the crashwas happened so long time that any trace could be erased by the natural force.In contrast, the reading material believes that it is no any evidence has beenfound on the surface of the Earth.

In addition, thelecturer discusses that the material of Moon derive from the Earth, whichdiffers from the reading that the material embedded in rocks is obviousdifferent from the former on the Earth. The speaker says that due to the hightemperature on the Moon any volatile materials such as water, even the rockscontained water, can not exist.

Finally, thelecture suggests that the statement made in the reading is not convincing.Because the surface density of the Earth is lower than that of the Earthcenter, and also, the Moon is origin from the surface part of the Earth, so itis undoubted that the density of the Moon is lower than that of the Earth.

In conclusion, basedon these discusses demonstrated above, the contents in the reading are noconvincing by the speaker.

In the reading passage, there are theories proposed to illustrate how birds navigate to back home. In the lecture, the professor disagrees with there theories, and he made several points to aginst them.
First and foremost, the professor think that birds navigate by using the sun or the star compasses is not convincing. he think that what birds navigate at the night, and he also believe that only the bird can navigate by using the star, but other species can not make it.
The second, he argue with his point that birds is impossible by using the landmarks, because birds who had not the experience observing landmarks also can fly back home. so it casts doubt on the second point in the reading.
Finally, he thinks that birds are difficult to navigate by sensing the earth's magnetic field. so he think the third idea is not convincing.
All in all, the professor disagrees with the three theories in the reading passage.
