hold the opinion that the traditional ways of information spreading, the book, have greater effect on society. I agree that statment with following reasons.



First, it is obviously that printed books have enjoyed an extraordinary status in the society for a long time. The advent of printed books offers human with a wonderful method to save and spread thoughts and knowledge.
This effect has lasted for thousands of years, which, with no doubt, has profoundly changed our education form, our lives and our world. However, comparing to books, televisions are relatively new so that the impact should be relatively limited.



The higher reliability and lower cost also make books more available for most of people. The characters in a book could stain for a quite long time, which enable people the possibility to refer to it once they have questions. Contrary to that, the information provided by the television is quite transient, which deprive of the possibility to review. In addition, the higher cost of a television set disables many people, especially the people coming from undeveloped countries, to gain information from it. As a result, a book is much cheaper and can be read over and over again, as well as passed from person to person, which meets the requirements of a excellent access to knowledge.



It should be admitted that a TV program appears much more active and interesting than a book, but the influence of book should also not be ignored.
