招生委员会主任回复GPA的问题

申请已经到了最后攻坚阶段了,很多飞友可能还纠结在GPA低以至于不敢申请dream school.偶也有类似的情况,于是发信问招生委员会主任,下面是他的答复.同时强烈建议大家搞个排名证明.

ME:  When I wrap up all my application materials and ready to mail them, a friend of mine suggested me to write a brief addendum explaining my GPA.
         My major GPA is around 3.4 according to my school grading system, but I ranked 9th among 109 students. Do i need to attach a brief addendum     explaining my low GPA?

Director of graduate Admission office: IF you wish to write a brief addendum, that is ok.

                                                                    I wouldn't consider a 3.4 on a Chinese scale a low GPA.

                                                                 I'll make a note that with your GPA you were 9th out of 109 graduating students.

ME:                                                         Thank you. Actually, I have an official certificate issued by my department certify that I ranked the 9th out of 109 in the four-yearundergraduate program.

Director of graduate Admission office:.  If you can send a copy of that certificate (or scan it and send it), that would be good to have in your file.
