The speaker claims that the future of our society is grasped by our children and that we don't know how to raise our children in order to benefit the society being. However, I don't understand from what the speaker makes the conclusion after scrutiny several times. I disagree with what speaker asserted and as I understand this topic, the destiny of our society is not only determined by our children but also by ourselves. We also own the precious treasures imparted from our parents that we know how to raise our children correctly.

Admittedly, children are our world's hopes as the time goes on. we will be older and they will take place of us in playing an important role in the society. Raising our children becoming more beneficial to our society by using correct measures will help build a better society. Just considering about the same situation existing between our parents and us, we will find the truth that we stress the importance of education, join the army and make contributions to our countries in other aspects due to our parents' indoctrinations.

However, it doesn't mean that if we did nothing but raised our children, our society would become much better and more harmonious. The crucial factor is still the current generations. In some African villages, if the residents there cannot work hard, if they cannot learn something to protect their families, how can they raise their children well? Even if their children were raised well, can the children make the society better when it was too late to change the society there? Looking back on the citizens of Balkan in 1990s or the citizens in Iraq presently, even if the citizens raised their children well, the children will become good soldiers or actually good killers eventually without the endeavors to make the countries peaceful by their adults.

Secondly, we have known the measures to raise our children who can help bring about a better society. It doesn't mean that we should teach them all knowledge and skills. it is impossible to do that. What we can teach them is to be better persons than ourselves. though the culture is different among different countries, we still have some similar all-pervading values of human beings. What we should do is to give these values and experience to our children. Just like what our parents did, they didn’t tell us how to use computers but told us to be a good person in the world.

To sum up, what the speaker claims is like a dastard avoiding his responsibility. He is a pessimistic daydreamer only pin our hopes on our children but ignore the groups presently, and he also asserted we don't know the correct measures to raise our children. However, what I do is to prove that he is wrong.
