Welfare of the People is Importan Indicator of a Great Nation

A nation's greatest aim is pursuing well-beings for most people rather than some individual's success, which is a universal truth. Personal success depends mostly on the nation's success. However, some individual's personal success could also help to push the development of society, thus beneficial for the whole nation's well-being.

Firstly, the whole status of a nation is usually taken when we measure whether it is powerful or not. Take China for example, the average GDP is one of the index that stands for the level of prosperity. In other countries of the world, average revenue of the nation is also an important factor to determine whether the nation is developed or developing one. There is no doubt that the fundamental object of a nation is creating better life for its members, as nation is comprised of each individual, unless most people live a happy and comfortable life could the society is safe and stable.

In addition, the general prosperity of the country is the basis of individual success. If a person wants to be successful, he or she must do something pragmatic, such as using specific apparatus, communication tools, healthy environment and enough daily necessities. While, only when the country is powerful enough could it supply complete education, perfect laboratories, pleasing life environment and good health care for personal affairs. Throughout history, each powerful dynasty bears a great number of famous scientists, artists, astronomers, economists and phylosophists, etc. For example, Tang Dynasty is one of the most colorful time period in China, which fosters series of famous literature works. As people at that time has satisfied their material need, so spiritual life becomes important for them.

On the other hand, special actions and important discoveries or inventions of individual could change the status of a nation in turn. For example, we remember quite clearly about the leadership of Abraham Lincoln who fights for people's freedom and acquire success. Without his wisdom, many people would have lived in aggrieved life. As to the science filed, it was Walt who invents the steam engine that pushes the world into industrial era, when so many people move from countryside to the cities. And Beethoven gives us gorgeous feeling about music. Such great men improve or even change their nations or the world. It is true that individual benefits from the society and contributes to the society as well.

Basically, nation interacts with persons. The whole society’s bloom is the foundation of individual’s success. Depend on the well development of the society could a person pursue for his own objections smoothly. Meanwhile, personal success could influence the society in some aspects.
