Issue125----The past is no predictor of the future


I endorse that we can predict general trend of the future in the macroscopical world or in the large-scale range.On the basis of obsevation,experience,or scientific reason we gain from the past,the weather report has the ability to tell us what’s the weather like in the few days,and the scientists can foretell the time solar eclipse take place using technological measures and exact account. Marxist Philosophy presage the developing orientation of the world that towards progressive trend including tortuous direction.

However,not anything the past can foretell the occurrence in the future.Accounting with more complicated problems and lacking awareness of the past,the past is no predictor facing the future. For instance,earthquake is a world wide difficulty to predict. The earthquake, we mankind persecuted deeply by the big calamity, can not been predicted by scientists aithough we have a mass of information gathered from the past. A lot of measures have been bring forward on surveillance of earthquake, insofar as we can, we only could foretell it a few hours before that happened, according to the abnormal phenomenon of plants and animals. Indeed, nothing we can do besides this.With the long development of the history,the American in the eightith century,an era of black people subject to discrimination,can not conceive a Black man be their president several years ago.We can not help sighing how complex the world is.

Summing up,the past can only predict some certain aspect of the future,not all of them.The premonition is established on the correct understanding and summarization to the past,in an other word,that subjective consciousness basis on the knowledge acquired from the past.Whereas,the premonition is not always be true or precise.One reason is that,the world is complicated and changefully,we human kind can not predominate the whole,if so,then the colourful world is not mysterious or fantastic any more,which also lost the movement pushing people to searching for unknown.In another respect,the occurrence of one thing is the result of other thing interplay and interact with each other,which influence played on it we can not predict.

How should we view the topic that whether the past is a predictor of the future?We can not easily assert the conclusion.Taking the example of personal development.We can not foreshadow one person’s future according to his past,but that does not deny the past can not predict the future.Contrarily,we can proposed that if you continually behave in this diligent or slothful way,foretelling your bright or mediorce future.

The cardinal is not whether the past can predict the future,it is how to take use of the prediction in searching for the unknown and understanding the world. With the increasing pollution people behaved on the earth, we could forecast that the global warming trend will coming soon. If we mankind persist on behave in this way, the Antarctic ice will melt and sea level will keep rising destroy our living surrounding.That is the usage of forecast of future to help avoiding losses and raising alert to people to behave on the right way.We use the past predicting future to understand the world and chage the world.

We should not stay in the process of learning the past, besides, looking into the forward together reinforce the development of society. Eternal truths will be neither true nor eternal unless they have fresh meaning for every new social situation.

我觉得地震的例子中你已经说出了在地震前几个小时才能预测出来，那不是跟你这段观点不符么？还是预测出来了呀
还有个个人观点：当初的种族歧视逐渐得到缓解，就证明黑人逐渐会受到同等的待遇，而当总统就是受到同等待遇的一个表现，所以~我还是觉得某种程度上可以预示
