提纲：
一。肯定摄像机的优点。摄像机的确给我们带来了很大的好处：
(1)可以精确、生动、逼真的拍摄一些动态的场景，给人带来视觉上的刺激。一次难忘的party、宝宝的成长过程，这些经历都只有一次，是非常难得，通过相机可以拍下来，会给我们带来很多美好的回忆；也可以用来记录一些大型事件。
(2)具有客观性：安装视频监控可以准确记录在某一秒谋一分发生的事情，可以帮助警方破案，更有说服力。记录历史资料的时候，会更让人信服。

二。手写方式也有自己的优点。摄像机在有些场合无法像纸质文档一样好。一些人物的内心的深层的感情必须用文字表达出来，摄像机是没法展示的；而且摄像机对设备的要求比较高，设备坏了没法记录，而手写比较方便，任何时候都可以记录。

三。结论：两种方式并用。


The speaker asserts that video camera is more important than written records because of its accuracy and conviction. Admittedly, video camera does represent the contemporary life accurately and convincingly. While recording our lives is more about just what we hear and see, it is improper to conclude that written records pales in importance when compared with video camera, for the reason that written documentation shows the superiority of recording on the feelings and spiritual level.

I agree with the author that video camera offers great accuracy and conviction in recording. It brings quite a lot of convenience to daily life. The vivid and dynamic scenes can be recorded by video camera precisely while with written records, they can be described with extremely long paragraphs. A party which is recorded by the video camera would bring a lot of memories of family members and friends many few years later. The video camera takes down the joyful laughter, the happy faces and the warm hugs of friends. It makes the past life period revive before us. Besides, the growth progress of babies can be represented by video camera too. The first laugh, the first step and the first calling of Mom and Dad and so on are precious for children from baby to grownup. Watching the video, parents can recall their past joyful time with their children. And they might get the feeling of success to bring up their so little baby to adult. What’s more, some scenes can be record accurately by video camera, such as the eruption of an earthquake or a flood or an explosion.

Meanwhile, video camera shows the property of convincing because of its objective. Firstly, it has been playing an important role in cracking criminal cases. More and more residential areas, streets and market have installed surveillance camera to improve security. The video is much persuasive than a witness concerning there might be some extra objective. Descents may hardly question the history which is recorded by video camera. While by words record, a lot of controversies have occurred because the history books we read have been added the authors’ subjective notions.

It’s true that video camera is quite important because it provides accuracy and convincing record, but written record is as important as it. The advantages of written records are also remarkable. On one hand, they are capable to document feelings behind the surface. You can write down what your real feeling inside, the sad behind the smile, the embarrassment behind the laugh and the grievance behind the happy dance. All of these feelings can’t be showed in a video record.
On the other hand, the high dependability of video camera on equipment make written records is a preferable choice. When the camera break down, the record which is saved in the camera might disappear. So it is important to the take down the record by writing. Besides, although video camera can take down much information, we need device to show the information such as the computer while written is much easier. You can record at any time and review the record easily, just to open it. What’s more, the video record in computers has the possibility to infect the virus which might destroy the whole record, while written records are much safer.

Although video camera shows great advantages in accuracy and convincing, we can’t conclude that it is more important than written records. Video camera is not perfect by far and it is too early to replace written records. The two way of recording are both indispensible.
