Argument 112 Franklin Airport, flight delays
The arguer’s conclusion: in order to decrease the flight delays and be beneficial to the bay’s environment, the airport management’s plan should be accepted.
1. There is no convincing evidence to prove that the construction of new runways could reduce the flight delays. Other factors such as employees’ incompetence at the airport, the noneffective management of the airport or the changeable climate of the bay may contribute to the unsatisfactory outcome.
2. The author simply assumes that funding for the proposed restoration of wetlands will be actually effective and can necessarily restore the wetlands to their original situation.
Meanwhile recovering the wetland cannot counteract the ruins of the environment when filling the bay.
3.
Granted that the plan works, we cannot ensure that the airport own a large amount of money to investment, or the payoffs turn out expected.
