In some educators’ eyes, if people were educated with personal plan and their interests were considered in their learning process, it would look like a terrific situation in the world. But, until now, this ideal target is too difficult to reach and it always leads people to ignore cooperation or competition. Moreover, it is not the "only" way in which education becomes effective.

Although numerous of colleges and education institutions have been set up in recent years, education resource is still not sufficient in global world. In the light of United Nations’ statistics in 2010, at least 72 million children cannot exercise their right to education due to rising levels of poverty, unemployment and discrimination. And 56 million children out of school if no action is taken to reach the marginalized. Thus, personal education plan is not effective for guaranteeing more people receive fundamental education, at least in decades. Admittedly, there are some rich people who could afford for the private education resource. Certainly, they can choose any education forms which they like. But another questions they need to consider, which is "Does the way designed to meet each person's needs is more effective than usual education method"? My answer is "Probably not".

The first advantage of traditional education, which is also the deficiency of personal education plan, creates ideal circumstance to adopt children or adults how to work together with others. When people choose personal plan to accept education, they may lost most of opportunities of playing with your friend, and they will not experience the pleasure of sharing with friends or classmates. Moreover, with the personal education plan, people seldom need to cooperate with others, which are very necessary parts of education. Without pleasure, and cooperation, how people could be educated successfully? Some opponents may say, students could enjoy the joy for satisfy their own needs or interests. But socialization is a necessary element in human’s growth, like eat, sleep. As the substantial ability of survive in society, communication, and cooperation can be adopted in traditional education more efficient than the personal education.


Another disadvantage using personal education plan usually decrease the competition opportunities among students. It is well known there are numerous benefits of appropriate competition. If each student is granted personal study plan and different study contents, they have different study contents and progress. At last, they will seldom need to compete with other students. When they losing the pressure brought competition, even if they enjoy interests brought by their own plans, students will promote themselves slowly. In contrast, when students learn the same contents with their classmates and keep the same progress with others, for not falling behind others, the stress will stimulate them never stop to grow up.
Furthermore, people’s interests and individual needs, which are the results of interacting with others, are almost changing in whole life. Losing the comparison and communication, people will easily lose themselves in their own world. At least, they will lose one more fantastic world, and lost the precious opportunity of learning from your friends and classmates.


In sum, people educated with specifically designed educated plan could get many benefits from the way. But from above examples and reasoning, you can acknowledge it is not only effective way to educate people. Sometimes, it is one good complimentary educated method to the traditional education.
