2.6 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Teachers should not show their political or social views known in the classroom.

The majority of people tend to take a favorable attitude that teachers should show their social views in the classroom. I disagree with the point of view. In my opinion the personal social views or believes of teachers would have further influence on students’ life, therefore it’s better for teachers in the classroom not to talk about their social views.

To begin with, I concede that students should know more about the society that they need to adapt in a few years later, so they need to think about something about the society. From the point above, teachers seem to be the very person to lead students to know society. However, teachers may have greatly diversified social views, which can not be the same like the content in the textbook. If each teacher of a class talked too much about their personal opinion towards the society, the students may get different opinions, thus they may be lost in those diversified thoughts. Something they heard may be beneficial for them to realize some kind of affairs; the other thing may be complains of teachers towards this world. This usually happens, especially the teacher is not in good mood.

Moreover, students should be independent to choose their social views or personal believes. Thanks for the application of Internet, students could care much about the social event in a wide range. For example, with the Internet, we could see one kind of event from different angles commented by different people in different regions. And the Chinese critics and American critics may have arguments on the some aspects of commercial trade between two countries.

Of course, students have the rights to know the social view of teachers toward some kind of events. This is also a good way of communication between teachers and students. When questioned about the thing of education in our society, it may raise a good argument among students, because some students may think that too much examination in our college is not good for study. Thus the teacher would be the appropriate person to state their views.

Considering the factors above, I would like to make a conclusion that teachers should let their students collect information about social event themselves.

总觉：句子的运用根词汇的运用没什么问题，就是观点不是很明确，尤其第2段跟第3段，没有讲清楚为什么老师在课堂上不能讲个人观点）
