Are the tradition and modernization in compatible with each other? The speaker asserted so. I concede that sometimes tradition and modernization could not coexist, but at most time developed harmonious.

Admittedly, as the globalization spreaded all over the world, some modern things goes against the tradition, it is mostly because that the culture of contemporary society highlights the point of efficiency and freedom, while the tradition are almost complex at manners or other activities of society, and it often limited people's thought and behavior, and if someone accepted the traditional life style, then he would live an unsuccessful life or even could not earn a living in modern society. As a typical example that women in ancient China could only do handcraft or weaving at home, going outside to work or even have education will be distained by the society, so women at that time are a group of discrimination, and the situation now is that women are equal to men after the movement of feminism, anyone who treated women unfair would be punished by the low of women protection, and as time goes by, woman are able to work with men or even to be the leader of men in the area of society, art or any other area.

However, it is certain that tradition and modernization coexist in many areas, and are hardly separated. Since the history is a glass of the modern society, people often combine history and modern as a whole to research at several respects or to create a greater value. For instance, classic music and pop music are both the preference of modern music fans, not because its factors of tradition or modernization but the beautiful melody of them, we can find classic factors in pop music, and it is just these factors make the melody unique. Without the help of classic music, pop music may not be so popular.

Moreover, there are many field of modernization are developed from tradition. Since the world is developing, there are many areas or activities are developed from tradition ones, containing science, art, festivals etc. For example, spring festival is the biggest ceremony all the year round, people have big dinners with all the members of their big family, and now it turns to be a ceremony to remind everyone they are of the big family as in modern society, people communicated less than before, even they are relatives. As the spring festival developed from a sorcery meeting to sacrifice the god in ancient years, how can we say that tradition and modernization are separated?

In sum, I concede that sometimes tradition and modernization could not coexist, but at most time developed harmonious.
