95"People work more productively in teams than individually. Teamwork requires cooperation, which motivates people much more than individual competition does."
第一次写作文 痛苦至极 参考了一些观点语句
希望各位前辈猛拍!! 谢谢
Some people may think that cooperation can make the teamwork more efficient than the competition do. Because the competition among people may impair the group work achievements while the cooperation helps to speed up working process. However, in the nature of teamwork, these two are congruous with each other and both of them help to motivate people.
Under the concept of "Synergy", people can achieve greater productivity compared with working separately. Today's world can be better depicted as the one characterized by the narrower and narrower working division and everyone has his or her own special skills. Assigned different tasks, a team can generate the overall greater productivity because each step is taken by the one who specializes in it and therefore the whole process can be done better. What's more, the group work can pool the wisdom and efforts of everyone which can substantially shorten the working time. If one exams the science world , for example, it becomes clear that the Nobel Prize winner are often a group of people, such as the father-and-son team William Henry Bragg and William Lawrence Bragg. Scientists share the insightful views and different academic specialties to make the research more comprehensively such as the interdisciplinary research, thus achieving major breakthrough in science. We can see that the teamwork can benefit a lot with the cooperation and people can enhance their efficiency to some extent.
Although the group work may play a more important role in solving problems or making achievements, we can not deny that there are still some jobs suitable for the individual work and sometimes it’s better for people to finish the work alone. Take Einstein as an example. If he worked on the theory of relativity with his team members instead of by himself, he might not propose this scientific breakthrough because it is so novel that most people opposed to the idea at first. In that case, the research achievements could be impeded by the team work. Moreover, there are also some works which are better not to be done by a group of people, such as the writing the novel. The cooperation will do little help to the rumination and careful modification of the book writing and might even disturb author’s train of thought, rather than enhancing the efficiency. Therefore, to some extent, the individual work is preferred compared with team work.
As a result, the existence of individual work and cooperation brings out the problem that which one is better to stimulate people. In my opinion, both of them can do the good job. Just as the famous saying goes: Teaching others teaches yourself. In the process of collaboration, it is easily to know what the others are good at, the contrast of our own and we will soon figure out the gap between ourselves and others. People can easily gain a lot in the group work by learning from their coworkers. However, it is just the competitive spirit between individuals that makes people notice others’ merits and self’s disadvantage and try their best to keep up with others. This actually gives us an opportunity and impels us to improve ourselves. We can look at the example of GM and Toyota, which are the rivals in the automobile market but share a same manufacturing factory. They increase the manufacturing efficiency and ability by reducing the cost and market risk through the collaboration. Yet, they are still tough rivals against each other in the automobile market throughout the world. Becoming stronger and stronger, these 2 companies attract different groups of consumers through the competition. From this point of view, it is difficult for people to distinguish the cooperation and individual competition because they are not exclusive. Actually, competition is as important as cooperation to motivating people.
In sum, the speaker’s claim underestimates the significance of the individual work and competition, at least to some extent. When we talk about the importance of group work, we should not ignore the critical role of the individual competition in improving the working efficiency. People should use either one of them to make achievements under different conditions. |
